10. The girl in the pod

When i woke up in the morning. I finally slept good last night. I got out of my tent and noticed Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia and Finn weren't at camp. However i did see Jasper, so i ran over to him and asked where they were.

"Last night a pod fell down from the ark. They are checking it out." Jasper said smiling unusually big

"Jasper.. whats wrong?" I asked raising an eyebrow

"Huh what do you mean AR?" He said looking down at me

"Your smiling, scary big.." I said raising an eyebrow

"Oh, its Octavia." He said smiling brightly again

"Ooohhh.." i said with a grin on my face "Did she kiss youuu?" i said teasing

"Maybeee" Jasper said poking me in my stomach

"HEY!" I said giggling and putting my arms around my stomach

"Jasper look!" I yelled pointing at the gate, Finn, Clarke, Bellamy and an unknown girl were walking into camp.

The gate opened and they walked into camp, wait a minute.. I knew that girl!

"RAVEN?!" I yelled as I ran up to her.

"Artemis?" She questioned. When I got closer she realized it was really me and hugged me tight, "I haven't seen you since- since, well.."

"Yeah.." I said looking down. Raven worked with my mom, before she was floated Raven and I were pretty good friends, she taught me the basics of mechanical engineering, nit that I remember much of that but I'll always remember her. But when my mom got arrested and got floated, we had a falling out.

"How are you here?" I asked

"Clarke's mom." She said and i looked up at Clarke and she gave me a fake smile.

"Where's O?" I asked

"I- i dont know." Bellamy said from behind

"What?" I said confused

"Last night, when you were asleep the pod Raven was in fell down.. i went to check it out, and look for something.. and well-" Bellamy was saying, but got cut off by Clarke

"He removed the radio. And if we don't find it soon the ark is going to kill 300 people!" Clarke yelled getting the attention of everyone at camp

"What about Octavia?!" I asked worried

"We'll search for her later, but right now we need to look for that radio, okay Artemis?" Raven said bending down to my height

"Thats not fair to Octavia!" I yelled

"After we find that radio we'll send out a search party to look for O, okay Ar?" Bellamy said reassuring me and i nodded

"So where do we find that radio?" I said confident

"Oh no no no, you're not going out of that gate Finn said from behind Clarke,

"Not this again.." i said to quite for anyone hear. Honestly, i was tired of people judging me because of my height and age. I can defend myself!

"No- no Finn its okay, we'll protect her. She's not in a lot of danger if we are with her," Bellamy said looking at Finn and i smiled

"Any other volunteers to come and find that radio?!" Clarke yelled at the camp.

About 20 other people came looking for the radio as well, we were walking toward it when Bellamy started walking beside me

"Thanks for changing Finn's mind about letting me come with you guys," I said looking up at Bellamy

"You're a little girl, you deserve to see more of earth outside of camp." He said also looking at me

"I already told you i'm not little." I said crossing my arms and walking forward faster, but Bellamy cut up with me

"Hey i'm sorry Ar!" He said

"Okay, you're forgiven." I said a little sarcastic

"Were here!" Clarke yelled to the people behind her.

It was a big river, not deep. At least its not the one Octavia got bitten by the snake, i never want to see that river in my life, it scares me to death.

When i ran toward it i almost slipped but Finn caught me and i got to searching

We were searching for a while when i heard someone on the other side of the river yell "i found it!" And Raven and i ran toward him.

"Wait thats the radio?" I ask pointing at the broken thing in the boy his hand

"Jup." Raven said snatching the broken radio out of the boys hand

"So how are you gonna fix that?" I ask raising an eyebrow this time

"Have a little faith kid-" Raven says but suddenly her facial expression changes, like she just realized something, "We don't have to talk the Ark, we just have to let them know we're down here right?"

"Yeah but how do we do that with no radio?" Finn asks

"Raven's smart, she's got something in her mind." I reply with a grin on my face and Raven smiles back.

Everyone was grabbing stuff out of Raven's pod or carrying them away, probably to camp. Raven was bossing around with what everyone had to do. Raven thought it was too dangerous for me incase i exploded or destroyed anything so i was sitting on a nearby log watching everyone disable Raven's pod.

As soo as the last scrap pieces were taken out of the pod and everyone returned to camp it was nearly dark. People were shouting for Raven and carrying all sorts of tools. I sat on the edge of the drop ship watching everyone work on Raven's master plan to contact the ark about the fact that we're here.

When everything was set up and everyone was gathered around the, what i assumed fireworks Raven and the others tried to make from her pod, Bellamy had me on his shoulders, you would assume I was heavy and tall since i'm 13. But i'm only 4,9 and weigh as much as an eight year old girl. Maybe I'll grow someday.

Beautiful purple fireworks were send up into the sky, they were absolutely stunning. Around me i heard a few claps and cheers, but I completely isolated myself from those people only focussing on the beautiful night sky and the fireworks in the sky.

"Can you wish on this kind of shooting star?" I hear Clarke ask Bellamy

"Well.. I wouldn't even know what to wish for.." He says, "What about you?" Before Clarke could reply I dropped in on their conversation

"I'd wish for fireworks like this everyday!" I say exited, I know it sounded childish but i couldn't help it, they were just so beautiful. Bellamy let out a small giggle before looking back up at the purple lights in the sky..

A/n: i don't know if i should continue this story.. it was my first 'book' i ever wrote, so all the other chapters are probably really bad lol (i haven't read them since like September/October OR like even wrote in this story since October 💀) Just comment if you want me to continue this story❤️
