Ecchi = Things that are sexual but not directly sex-act related. Dirty jokes or panty shots in anime are examples of this. It's more lewd than really overtly sexual. Ecchi content tends to show up in a lot of manga and anime that are for teens and older, while they aren't exactly sexy in general, but it does tend to show up as fan service type of content.

I don't want to be here. I don't want to be at college even though I was supposed to be with Elliot right now. We were supposed to go out for dinner so that we'd at least see each other once in a while, but that's not happening.

I run the seam of the skirt through the machine. Slowly, carefully, making sure to keep the fabric straight and preventing it from curling up too much.

The teacher gave me a bad grade over something stupid like the end of the seam not looking finished enough and the patterns not matching 100% perfectly. I hadn't realised that that had been so important for this assignment. So I hadn't paid too much attention to it, but now I'm in the sewing room with four others, all trying to fix the same issues. I was lucky that making the pattern match was only a small adjustment for me, but it had meant taking apart the whole skirt and redoing all the seams.

One of the other girls, Sophia, had to redo a couple of her panels on the skirt because they'd been too off to fix, she had to redraw and recut them and everything. And she's only now starting putting the panels together again. Poor girl. The same thing had happened to me last year on a dress assignment, and that had been hell.

I lean back, stretching my shoulders and back, trying to get the stiffness out of them.

"Hey, Izz!" Another girl, Cloe, comes over, leaning on the table before coming down and looking up at me over the edge of the table, making puppy eyes at me.

"Yes?" I smile, looking at her.

"You still need to show me those pictures from the con that you took. I saw some on social media, but not as much as normal. I know you have them. Also, we need a step by step for the Sakura cosplay, of course." Cloe had become a fan of my work after we talked at the start of the first year and she saw some of my cosplays. Now she loves looking at the cosplays, even though she's not into anime or cosplaying at all.

"You and what army?" I raise my eyebrow at her and continue with the seam of the skirt. The reason I hadn't posted all of them was because Elliot was in a lot of them, and I wasn't so sure he would have been totally comfortable.

"The rest of the class? Right, Sophia? We need more cosplay pictures."

"Oh. You won first price, right? Of course we want to see." Sophia grins as she goes back to her skirt.

"See?" Cloe looks at me triumphantly.

"I'll have to see about that." I grin. "I'll just have to check with some people first, and then find the time to actually write everything out. Yeah?"

"Yeah. Cool." She stands up. "Okay, letting you get back to the skirt. Don't want you to fail this." She sighs.

"You done with yours?" I look over to her table.

"Yeah, as much as I can fix it." She shrugs. "Otherwise, I'll have to make up for it some other way."

I nod. Yeah, that was my idea too, just not with the bad grade I'd gotten at first. "Good luck."

"Thanks. See you tomorrow." She sighs and then picks up her dress from her table. "Time to face the music." She pulls a face and then leaves the room.

I check the time, it's just past four. I have less than an hour to finish this. Ugh. Can this be over yet?

I want to go home already, I want to talk to Elliot. I hate that we had to cancel over this. But he was right, it couldn't be helped.
