"I bought my resume with me today, if you'd like to look at it?" I smiled, as she gestured me to take a seat across from her at the desk.
"Wow, very organised - I'd love to see it."
Okay this is going quite well.
Quickly, I pulled the the papers out my bag and handed them to Sophia. As her eyes scanned across the page, I took the opportunity to glance around the room. There was a grey sofa in the right corner behind me, a white pot with a tropical plant rested in it sat in the opposite corner. Everything was pristine and white, in a ridiculously clean state.
"Thats a very impressive resume. You have the perfect degrees for this job."
"I'm sorry, this is probably going to make me sound very bad, but I don't actually know the details of this job - Dee never actually told me."
Sophia laughed, "That's alright. Your job will be working on the photoshoot and working with the team. You'll be working on the shoots with models and designing the outfits, scenery, and how the final result will look.
We recently lost someone on the team, and so we're looking to replace them. It's a big job, especially for someone without much experience managing this kind of work atmosphere and the responsibility that comes with it. Your only flaw I can see is just that: your experience."
I nodded, becoming aware that the chance of getting this job was becoming increasingly slim.

"Are there any questions you'd like to ask me?" The interview had been going on for about 15 minutes now, and I still wasn't feeling great about my chances of getting the job.
"I don't think so, no."
"Alright well," She stood up, and I followed suit, shaking her hand again, "it was lovely to meet you."
"You too."
"I think you can expect a call in a few days time." She smiled, showing me out.
"Great, thank you so much for interviewing me." I grinned, as I exited the office, saying goodbye and heading outside, pulling my phone out my pocket and calling Dan.
He answered almost immediately, with a loud, "Ava!"
"Hello."
"How was the interview? I bet you did great."
"I think it went okay. It could have been worse, but she said I don't have much experience in that kind of work environment, and so despite my degrees, I don't think I'll get it."
"That sucks. I don't get that; how are you supposed to get experience if they won't hire you because you don't have any." He groaned, making me smile.
"I know. It's absolutely ridiculous. She said I can expect a call in a few days, and that's probably going to be to tell me I didn't get the job."
Dan was silent for a moment, before saying , "Don't stress okay? Please don't. We only have a few more days before you go back to Helsinki, right?"
"Yeah I leave on the 8th."
"Exactly, so if this job was meant to be, it was meant to be. Besides, I know you'll have done amazingly in that interview, Ava."
