Tony POV

I accidentally fell asleep in the workshop whilst drawing up some blue prints for my next project. When I woke up I had been moved to the couch, and a throw blanket neatly tucked over me. Pepper must've got one of the guys to carry me over last night.

Yawning I pushed myself up into a sitting position, accidentally knocking my phone out of my pocket as I did so. Leaning down I picked it up once more, and noticed a notification from AC on my lockscreen. It took my brain a little while before I finally realised that the message must be a response to the text I had sent to Annabeth Chase last night, after a discussion with the rest of the avengers. Quickly I typed in my passcode and clicked on the notification, skim reading her reply.

One o'clock. That could work out. I glanced at the number at the top of my screen, relieved to see that I had only slept until 8am. I let my body lean against the back of the couch for another minute, before I forced myself to stand up, ignoring the slight dizziness that I was feeling. Breakfast would fix that.

As I headed up the stairs to the kitchen I spoke to JARVIS. "Where are the rest of the avengers and Pepper right now JARVIS?" After a few seconds, presumably as JARVIS scanned for them and their whereabouts, he replied. " Agents Romanoff and Barton are both in the den watching some television. Mr Rogers is currently in the gym,and will be going out on his run shortly. Dr Banner and Pepper are both still sleeping - I am set to wake them up at 9:30 am and 10 am respectively."

By this point I had reached the kitchen, and began to pull ingredients out of cupboards on auto pilot as my brain whirred. "JARVIS, please inform all awake avengers that Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson will be here at 1pm, potentially with a friend of theirs. Please also inform Pepper and Bruce, immediately after your wake up calls. I'm gonna make breakfast and shower so let everyone know that I'll either be in the kitchen or the den, if they have any problems or questions."

By the time that 1pm came around I had eaten breakfast, watched a couple of episodes of some crime show with Nat and Clint, and put together a large plate of sandwiches for us all to pick at. We were all just waiting in the den, Pepper especially intrigued to meet the people that had consumed the majority of our attention for the last month or so. JARVIS finally announced their arrival, and I instructed him to let them in, Steve having volunteered to show them the way up. However when the elevator doors opened I was shocked to see only one person with Steve - a petite girl whose curly chocolate coloured hair tumbled to her shoulders, her hazel eyes betraying a sense of maturity and loss well beyond her years. A slight movement at her shoulder, behind a curtain of hair, was explained by the protruding nose of a small white mouse. I wasn't entirely sure why she had brought a mouse with her, but refrained from commenting, not wanting to scare anyone who disliked rodents. At all our confused looks Steve chipped in with somewhat of an explanation. "They said that they weren't a fan of elevators, and would much rather take the stairs. I showed them the stairs they said to expect them in about 5 minutes."

"But we're three flights of stairs up, it takes almost ten minutes to get up one flight of stairs usually," I replied, still unsure of who the 'friend' that Percy and Annabeth had brought with them was. I was about to ask for her name when I heard thundering feet and lighthearted laughter echoing from the nearby stairwell. Percy and Annabeth burst out into the den seconds later, looking slightly out of breath, as if they had just jogged a hundred metres or so. It seemed like such an underwhelming reaction for people who had just sprinted up three flights of stairs, but then again they weren't exactly human. If I just blamed everything that seemed weird on the fact that they claimed to be part God. It made it far easier for me to process everything I was seeing.

"Oh yeah," Percy said, catching all the puzzled looks we had on our faces. "This is our friend Hazel. She's here to talk to you a little about her abilities, help us explain some bits, and hopefully remove the mist more permanently from you guys." Annabeth moved to stand next to Hazel, directing her to the couch we had left empty for them. Percy joined them, sitting on the floor in front of Annabeth, eyeing up the sandwiches. "Help yourself to sandwiches if you want any; there is ham, cheese, egg mayonnaise, and tuna and sweetcorn." Percy wrinkled his nose at the mention of tuna but nevertheless reached forward to grab a ham sandwich.
