Pitch black eyes stare back at me,
And I wonder if I've met my destiny,
After wandering endless avenues,
Searching for some sort of sanctuary,The eyes lack emotion,
But I stare into them with devotion,
Thanking them for gifting me a place far away,
From my troubles and afflictions,But the eyes have something hidden in their void,
And it makes my restless brain paranoid,
I hope for a flicker of humanity in those eyes,
Like a picture, fading back to life like a Polaroid,But the pitch black eyes do not blink,
And I can no longer properly think,
I accept the refuge of the darkness,
And my consciousness starts to shrink.
