"There's a lot of weird shit going around on this town and fingers are beginning to be pointed in your direction. You and your friend aren't being as careful as you think. You know Michael Langdon has the deputies wrapped around his finger. I already had to kill for you once and I don't plan to do it again," Daryn said.
"Are you forgetting something? I am dead. At least as far as records go, Marie Laveau no longer exists and she was killed 2 years ago. As for Langdon, I will come up with something." Marie said before downing the rest of her whiskey.
"You know your daughter misses you.." Daryn said softly.
"She is not my daughter. She is merely a piece of my past."
"Like I said, I have sacrificed a lot for you, the least you could do is check on her," Daryn tried to reason as he saw Marie getting ready to leave.
"Whatever. I'll see what I can do. No promises," She said grabbing her purse.
"It's always like that with you."
"Did I not save your brother after you killed that wanna be voodoo bitch?" She asked with an attitude.
"I mean it would've been shitty on your part if you didn't. After all, they say you have no honor." Daryn said getting angry.
This made Marie push her chair back and stand up directly in front of Daryn before raising her hand and sending him flying. She smiled as he struggled being pinned to the wall.
"I am the most honorable witch you'll ever meet and Papa Legba can attest to that. Me having his daughter only proves that. Now you should shut up and remember what is it that I do for you because just as it is given it can all go away." She said snapping her fingers and causing Daryn to fall to the floor.
He cried out in pain as he saw his reflection go back to his true form.
