Tears fell from her eyes as she fidgeted with her narrow fingers. I sat beside Jhiya on the hospital bench, "Sab kuch theekh hojigah mein, tum hein marri baath par yakeen karho, Agha-Jhee sirf nervous break down huaih hain, doctor karein hai woh teekh hoi chaingha, mein tum hai yaqeen dara hoon nah." I reasoned, but I couldn't hide the tears in my eyes.
Somehow something happened, Bee-Jan said something and he took offense, no one was there and beejan wouldn't utter a word. Arsal, Jhiya, Sherry and me were upstairs sharing the dua for the chand. I wish I was there, but what was that...a noise. Came very unsatisfying and grumbling. I put my hands on my face, my stomach.
