Cloud
By Hannah Rue
(Lights dim on stage and comes up center on a woman looking down)
Avery: I once dreamed I could touch a cloud. It looked soft and fluffy... like a pillow. I was floating in the sky and I was tired. I wanted to rest my head upon this cloud. It was a small round puff, asking me to place my head a top it. So I did. And I fell. My head fell through. It looked supportive but it was just a cloud. I thought in dreams things don't have to make sense and half of it didn't but this made me think of my life. The people in my life tell me I can lean on them but when I do they aren't there. Nothing to catch me when I fall. In my dream when I fell though it didn't feel like a dream. It felt like I was really plummeting. I don't remember landing though... I just kept falling and falling and falling... until I woke up. That was just a dream though. If I fall in life I am sure to hit the ground... right?

PovídkyThese are some monologues that I either wrote or found! (I will say the author for each one!) This is a great collection of monologues for actors to use!
