Chapter 18 ♔

I sighed. He can't do 'shit like this' huh?

But....Jihoon would always help me out. So why can't he?

"Hurry up Y/N! We need to leave!" Daniel called from downstairs.

"Coming!" I replied.

Shaking my thoughts aside, I decided to settle for minimal makeup before grabbing my phone and going downstairs.

Daniel was waiting by the staircase, preoccupied on his phone. I tapped his shoulder, making him look up. "Hey, ready to go?"

I nodded, "Yep let's go."

He led me outside to his car and we drove off.

After 20 minutes, we finally reached the party. Daniel parked the car and stepped out first, then made his way over to my side and held the door open for me.

"Thanks," I said as he took my hand.

"No problem," he smiled and led me towards the front door.

He rang the doorbell and we waited for someone to open the door. I could hear the music booming from outside. 

I gulped. This was my first time attending a house party. Although I've been to several business parties arranged by our parents, this one felt a lot different. 

Truthfully, I was kind of nervous. Like, what am I supposed to do in there? 

Dance? 

Drink? 

Hook up with someone? 

No thanks, I'm not doing any of those. The only reason I came was cuz Daniel invited me..

Daniel noticed and squeezed my hand. I looked up at him and he gave me a warm smile. "Don't worry babe, you'll be fine. Just relax okay?"

I nodded, "Okay~"

Finally, the door opened and we were greeted by a handsome-looking guy. He gave a bright smile as soon as he saw Daniel.

"KANG DANIK! I MISSED YOU BRO!" 

"ONG! I MISSED YOU TOO BRO!" they exclaimed and crushed each other into a hug. 

I gave them a weird look. 

I'm guessing that's Daniel's friend....they sure are pretty close huh? I've never seen Daniel so happy with another guy before.

They parted and the guy looked at me with a smile, "Hey! You must be Y/N right? I'm Seongwoo. It's nice to finally meet you! Daniel told me so much about you!" he said and held out his hand.

I smiled and reached out to shake his hand, "It's nice to meet you too Seongwoo. I'm happy to know Daniel talks to you about me. I hope it's not anything bad~" I chuckled.

"If by bad, you mean dirty, then yes," he laughed.

Daniel's eyes widened and he hit Seongwoo's arm, "Yah! 시끄러워! (sikkeureowo)!!"

We laughed and Seongwoo led us inside. As we walked further into the house, we started to collide with all the sweaty bodies on the dance floor. They all looked absolutely wasted.

I held onto Daniel's arm to make sure I wouldn't get separated from him in the swamp of drunk people. He looked back at me and smiled as we continued to follow Seongwoo across his house.

I noticed that this house was quite big as well. Not as big as Daniel's of course, but definitely larger than the average house.

I wonder if Seongwoo also comes from a wealthy family background? It would make sense...the kids of Korea's chaebols would be close friends.
