EXTENDED SUMMARY:
Anne Smith absolutely had a crush on Nancy Wheeler. She didn't know why or when, but she did and she was stuck with it. She had never felt this way about another girl before, never felt this way about anyone. So, when the yearbook staff of Hawkins High needs someone to interview Nancy for the Barb Holland memorial page, Anne's hand shoots up in the air.
This leads to an unlikely friendship, a jealous boyfriend, a shadow monster, and some ulterior motives. Now Anne wishes she had kept her hand down.
NOTE:
— This is loosely based off of the movie 'First Girl I Loved' so it's better if you've watched that before you write this
— The story is more about Anne coming to terms with her sexuality. Anne gets a happy ending, but her and Nancy don't if that makes sense? They don't end up together by the end of the story
— They kiss like once or twice during season two. At one point, Jonathan takes a photo of them and Anne steals it from him and sneaks it into the yearbook after Nancy rejects her (this is an important part of the story, it's the turn in Anne's character arc and she should apologize for this, and proceed to learn & grow)
— By the end of the story, she's okay with letting Nancy go and she's okay with the fact that she's gay
— If you wanna go into season 3, I suggest a sequel where she's paired with Robin (Maya Hawke's character)!
