we were now in the middle of the dance floor and I just stood there cause I felt really shy surrounded by many people 'let me rephrase that, many famous more beautiful people'
"you what on second thoughts I don't think I do the whole dancing thing either," he says
"that makes one of us," I say in a low voice
"what?" I say
"nevermind," he says
"what do you want to do?" he asks me
"I don't know I have never been to this such of a birthday party, this is more like one of those high school frat party just more ...... formal type," I say
"really?" I nodd and then someone called Harry from behind of him
"excuse me," he says and turns around to them
I wait for a few mins he still doesn't come so I decided to take a walk out of here to the garden area through which Shawn brought me, I somehow made it out through the crowd I have no idea how
but once I was finally outside it felt better it was slightly cold but it was nice, I took out my phone to check the time and saw it was only 8 pm
out of nowhere I heard footsteps and turned around to see Shawn coming my way
"what are you doing outside?"
"I just came out for a breeze it was kinda really crowded ... inside," I say and sit down in the grass
"it's kinda nice out here," I say
"yeah it is," he says and takes a seat next to me
"you can't be out here," I tell him
"why not!" he says
"they will think I took you to my boss to get you killed or that I kidnaped you," I say in my most sarcastic voice
"very funny, but the only thing there actually care about inside is the party they don't even know if I'm outside right now"I raise my brows in shock
we then started talking about how I have been vegan my whole life
and then about my high school and then about how I hate redheads
"is it the color?"
"no, I don't know I just don't like them I don't hate but like I would not be found with one that's all"
"it's definitely the color"
"NO! it's not ughh!" I sigh
"*coughs* its the color*coughs*" I just look away and sigh
"hey hey sorry," he says and he is now very close to me only a few inches from me
"did anyone ever tell you how incredibly amazing and beautiful you are?" he says looking me straight in the eyes I all the sudden look forward
"ehhh I mean my mom and-" he cuts me off by saying
"you're incredibly amazing and beautiful miss Tessa" I look at him, I didn't know what to say, his hand cups my face and he rubs his thumbs against my lips, at that moment I could not move or say anything I was frozen I was at the verge of passing out
all the sudden I heard someone scream for Shawn and I both got up and saw it was someone asking for Shawn he looked at me once before walking to that person into the house
after a minute or so I went inside I saw jhon in the corner of the living room with possibly the other drivers, I walk up to him
"I want to go home," I say to jhon
"now?" I nodd
"ok ill inform Shawn and ill be back"
"wait no! don't tell him" he looks confused
"ill take the taxi its okay," I say and start walking away
"no no, no I will take you its okay" he then tells me to follow him and he takes me to the SUV and starts the route to my house, my house is a little far from Shawns so it took us a while also due to traffic
I made it home I thanked jhon and bid him goodnight, it was not very late and Noah was not home yet so I called him
"Hello?"
"Hey, I was just calling to ask you when you will home?"
"actually I am staying at my friend's place so don't worry about me ok?" he says
"ok?" I say and he hangs up, I then undress from the dress toa more comfy PJ, I then call postmates and order myself some food
I have my dinner and now it's around 10:45ish I decided to watch something so I went with twilight I haven't seen it in a while I was in the middle of the movie when I heard my phone ring, I went to see who was calling and I saw the name 'Shawn' i didn't pick it up but after a few minutes I got a call it was an unknown number so I picked it up
"Hello?" I say
"Hey, where are you?"
"who is this?"
"birthday boy" I had completely forgotten about him
"I'm home why?"
"Mrs.Mendes here couldn't find you and you weren't picking up his phone so he asked me to call and told me if you picked up to inform him and yea that's about it"
"tell him I came home," I tell him
"are you okay? you seem not okay"
"I'm fine" no I'm not fine he came to me telling me I'm beautiful amazing and that was all a lie he ran back inside when someone asked for him he left me in the middle of something, I don't think it was something to him cuz all I think he cared for was for the party going on inside
"if you want to ever talk call me anytime, I mean it when I say anytime"
"yeah sure thanks," I say and then hang up
