"And you must be blind."

The party was in full swing by the time Ally and me got there. Standing there in my new blue floral dress with my leather jacket and gladiators, I actually felt hot. I turned to look at Ally in her satin dress with her ballet flats and came to the conclusion that we both looked hot. The house was packed with all different types people, some emo, some preppy, some jock; all hanging around drinking or dancing. At the back there was open doors leading out to the patio which eventually led to the beach. I had to admit that Booze's house was pretty amazing. I followed Ally to where the drinks were and managed to find a bottle of water in between all the beers and the alcohol. I don't drink, that's my one rule in coming to the party, I guess you could say that I was the designated driver for the night and every night for that matter. I looked around the room expecting to find Rafe somewhere and out of nowhere he appears right behind.

"Hey Isa," I turned around and looked up into his emerald eyes. "you look amazing."

"Thanks, you don't look to bad yourself." I blushed thinking that he looked gorgeous with his cargo shorts and button up shirt. His hair was messy and falling into his eyes.

"Um... do you wanna go outside maybe we could..." before he could continue, a girl came up to his side and put her arm around his waist.

"Hey baby, I just made it. Can you believe the traffic and to think I might've missed Booze's first bash and oh... hello I'm Kaylie. Rafe's girlfriend and you are?" I looked at this short redhead with brown eyes and a tight black dress on. She turned towards me with a condescending look in her eyes. I turned towards Rafe but he was looking anywhere but at my face.

"Uh.. uh I-I'm Isadora, a friend from work. Its nice to meet you I've heard a lot about you." I replied looking at her with a smile on my face.

"Really that's funny I've never heard about you. But anyways its nice to meet you too. If you'll excuse us I would really like to catch up with my boyfriend."

"Kaylie, you don't have to act like a bitch all-"

"No Rafe its okay don't worry about it I was leaving anyways. I'll see you later." I quickly left them and headed towards the patio. I saw Ally talking to a guy with tattoos all over his hands and decided not to bother her with what happened. I can't believe that's his girlfriend; Rafe's right she is a bitch. But a pretty one at that. Huh, and to think that I actually thought I had a chance with him. Who am I shitting, I can't compete. No way in hell. I quickly headed towards the beach and sat down on the sand with my head in my hands. I couldn't believe that just happened.

"Hey are you okay?" I looked up to see a tall guy with a football in his hands. Wait I know this guy... he's the cute waiter from that Italian restaurant. "hey don't I know you from somewhere?"

"Um... no I don't think so." I replied hesitantly, I just wanted to be alone right now.

"Huh... I'm sure I've seen you before somewhere. Um... Is there something wrong?" he looked so sweet standing there making sure I was fine when I'm sure his friends were waiting for him.

"Ya I'm fine but thanks for asking." I replied, turning to look at the waves crashing on the shore. Running through the whole scene in my head I couldn't believe I just stood there taking all the crap that she threw at me like a scared little girl.

"Wow, David Bowies out tonight huh?" I turned to my left to see him sitting an inch away from me staring at the full moon.

"Look I appreciate your concern and all, but I'm fine so you can go back to playing football with your friends." I turned to look forward again hoping that he would find some sense and leave me alone.

"I know your fine, but I'd rather sit with a gorgeous girl on a beautiful night than play football with a bunch of sweaty guys, if you don't mind of course." He replied giving me a cute lopsided grin.

"And if I said that I did mind would you leave?" I asked, turning towards him I couldn't help but smile he was just too adorable to resist.

"Then I would just tell you too bad and stay here annoying you." He replied with a serious expression on his face. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Alright then I guess you can stay." I turned away from him and looked down at my feet. I started making sand hills with the tips of my feet.

"I'm Nick, by the way." He held out his hand for me to shake.

"Hi Nick." I replied, grabbing hold of his hand and giving it a hard shake with a goofy grin on my face. He grinned back before I pulled my away and turned towards the shore.

"And you are...?" I turned to look at him. He was good-looking with his light brown hair and hazel eyes, what's the worst that could happen if I talked to this guy and maybe even hooked up with him, I mean its not like anyone would care.

"Isadora." I said, finally making up my mind.
