Poem

I am the night's only daughter,
the dwindling whisper
of the morning star.
I'm the wet cold tickle
of dew in the mountain,
the thorn in the red roses
that never leaves a scar.
I'm the murmur of a flowing river
finding dead ends
and tears of turquoise
in the placid seas
I am kiss meant to be given
under blooming cherries
and snow thawing springs.
I'm the song sang by children
In a merry-go-round
of summer and games
I'm the metaphor of nature
after finding a simile for love
and first sound repeating,
beating hearts.
I am the voice of the broken hearted
of those who melt dreams
in the wee hours
I am the reason, if reasoning is beauty
and the words take shapes
of snow flakes and sand.
I'm hiding treasures
life in a riddle of colors
and smells and taste
in a world that keeps of spinning
I'm just a free verse,
and a paper,
and a pen.
