Morning diamonds
liquid glass beads
from Mother Nature's necklace
dropped over the shamrock's carpet
while she paraded
dressed in the silky
sequins flickering
night's gown

dew broke with sunrise
and roses, polite dames
opened their arms
to received her
daisies smiled
waving goodbye

she wears now
the luscious bareness
of the curvy hills
of the foaming wave crests
skin of velvety savannas
Her feet are rooted oaks,
pines, sequoias, jacarandas
and her hair
is the summer breeze.
