She's an angel
her happy eyes
wrung by wisdom
saddened but don't cry
closed to dream
of better times
she's quiet
even in her silence
argues with pain
no one knows
yet everyone cares
she's an angel
so magical and sweet
when I was a girl
she Rocked me
beneath her wings
and sang me lullabies
and gospels
now she sleeps
i wish I had the same
huge cuddly wings
to cradle her
now so frail
but still so strong
