Pray

get to your knees and pray
who's your God, it doesn't matter
if your floor is marble or clay
Faith moves mountains
and opens paths in the water

speak it,
sing it,
murmur it,
dance it,
think it,
hum it,
don't let our world sink
under piles of sh*t
don't give it to madmen
who speak no truth,
in their corrupted wit

hope has been stolen away
traded by war, despair and starvation
let's join and pray
for our world, our common nation

believer or not a believer
your head on the ground
your sandals off or wearing a veil
elevate a prayer
inside a chapel, mesquite,
in the woods on a mound

We're turning against each other
humanity has lost its way
but we can find it
all united
if we hold hands and pray

We're turning against each otherhumanity has lost its waybut we can find itall unitedif we hold hands and pray
