"Should we really do it?"

"Why not?"

"I'm high as shit so I'm down."

"Shut up. We're all high no need to alert the masses."

I busted out laughing. Who said that? Me?

After the party was over grace, a girl named Ali,  and three boys that I don't know decided to go to the old train track. Actually, it was still used on occasion so it wasn't old it just looked that way. The track was on a bridge that ran across the river.

"Let's jump."

I giggled and held Ali's hand. One of the boys grabbed my other hand and once we made sure everyone was holding onto each other we jumped.

Hitting the water felt like hitting a brick. The water splashing onto my face felt like getting slapped a hundred times.

"Whew!"

"That was fun."

"Do we have everybody?"

"Everybody here?"

We all looked around making sure the six of us were still here. Was there six of us in the beginning? I had no idea how many people were with us.

"So Beth. What's your story?"

"What do you mean?" I turned to face the guy. He had blonde hair and blue eyes. He had a few tattoos which reminded me of someone I just couldn't remember who.

I had a feeling he had been important to me but I was too drunk to remember my own name.

"Who's your ideal man?"

I laughed at his question. How cliche.

"I'm highly attracted to guys who act like assholes."

He started laughing.

"I'm perfect for you then."

He leaned over and kissed me. It wasn't as bad as whatever his name was but I didn't really feel anything.

"Hey lovebirds! We're going to the diner to get something to eat."

Food sounded perfect actually.

I was freezing so Holden gave me his shirt. It meant that he would be going to the diner with no shirt on, but that was pretty normal at three in the morning.

Holden grabbed my hand and led me to a booth where we all piled in.

"Um Beth? Don't look at the counter." Grace whispered. Well she tried to at least she ended up yelling it pretty loudly.

I looked towards the counter and saw three guys looking at me.

"Of those are the two assholes from school." I laughed. I couldn't get a good look at that the third guy.

Adam and Allen were standing at the counter looking ready to kill. If Holden hadn't been holding my hand I would have confronted them about it.

"Um Beth. Your boyfriend is here."

Does grace not know how to whisper.

"Relax Gracie. I don't have a man."

Did I not know how to whisper?

"What about me?" Holden asked squeezing my hand.

"Relax man it was just a kiss."

"Shut it Beth!" Grace leaned across the table and pulled Holden's hand away from mine.
