Chapter 8: Getting What's Important

At the end of it was a door, Teresa put her thumb on the scanner and the door opened up. Newt, Thomas, and Gally went in shooting the guys in there. I followed in there after Teresa and the guys started opening doors with tons of kids coming out, "who are we supposed to be looking for again?" I ask but no one answers me, I sigh and sit on the table in the room watching all the kids come out. Do we really have this many?

I notice that Teresa had pulled Newt into a corner to talk, I look at them suspiciously but then looked away as I noticed Thomas walking through the crowd of kids.

(Newt's POV)

I had pulled Teresa over to talk to her about Y/N.

"Teresa, if we get separated I need you to do one thing for me. I bet you know that I'm sick but I need Y/N to get her memories back, if I don't make it I at least need her to remember the times me and her had." I beg, Teresa looks over to Y/N and then back to me. "If we get separated, I'll do what I can do." She says and I let out a sigh of relief. 

Teresa then walks back over to Y/N where Tommy hurriedly walks to them. "Where is he?" Tommy says getting in Teresa's face, "I---I don't know" Teresa says back, "let me check." She then moves to one of the computers and her face turns into shock. 

"They moved him up to the medical bank. Thomas that's on the other side of the building." She says, I immediately grab my helmet and move to them. "Alright I'm coming with you guys" I say grabbing my gun, "Newt no its too dangerous. You need to stay here with Gally and wait for the serum" Tommy argues, "look you can't do this on your own. Minho comes first remember." I say back to him.

Y/N gets off the table and goes by my side, "I'm coming too." She says confidently, Tommy looks to her concerned and then to Gally, "just go I'll get the serum, I'll meet you out back!" Gally says a little mad, I look to Tommy, "okay let's go." He says grabbing his helmet, he pushes Teresa in front of him and Y/N follows behind her. I keep walking but hear Gally say, "hey greenie! Good luck." I smile under my mask remembering the times Gally was nice.

~~Time Skip~~

We reached a new level of WICKED and we came across a locked door, Tommy looked to Teresa making her unlock it. The whole time she was talking about the cure and how she can save me and get Y/N her memories back. But that's when Tommy snapped, I tried to block out the whole conversation and just focus on Y/N. 

"Guys..." Y/N says nudging me in the stomach, I look to her and then Janson. "Don't waist your breath Teresa" he says coming towards us holding a gun, "you made this choice long ago." I point my gun towards him getting in front of Y/N, to my right I hear "drop the gun kid!" 

Tommy then grabs Teresa and aims his gun towards her head, "tell them to back off!" He says, "TELL THEM TO BACK OFF!" Janson still holding his gun tries to reason with him, "hey Thomas come on. It's me, I've known you longer you're not gonna shoot her." 

"You don't think so?" Tommy says, Teresa's breaths beginning to quicken. Janson lowers his gun, "okay. Go on then." He says, "shoot her." He then moves closer, "prove me wrong. Shoot her." He says.

But before Tommy can say anything, Teresa grabs Y/N and pushes me and Tommy into the hall way, and then she pushes the fire alarm down putting a safe glass door between us and them. Janson rushes to us trying to break down the door but it's no use, Tommy looks at Teresa once more before walking off, I take off my mask revealing myself to them. And not even looking at Y/N on the other side, I walk off.

(Your POV)

I watch Newt and Thomas walk off to who knows where, Janson then turns to Teresa. "Your story better be good." He says, "I just did you a favor, they can't get out all the doors are sealed." She then walks off grabbing my arm on the way, "Janson. I need them alive!" She says before leading me somewhere.

~~Time Skip~~

Teresa leads me to a familiar room, the room I slept in. "Get on the table" she orders me, I follow her instructions and get on the table in the room that I slept on. She came back with what looks like seven months of whatever, "what is that?" I ask her as she takes one out revealing it to be a syringe. "Your memories, we need to hurry." She says, I suddenly feel very happy to get my memories back. "This might hurt" she says injecting the first syringe.

A strong pain fills my left arm, I scream out in agony until it's done. "Okay! a lot more of these and we're done!" She says injecting the next.

~~Time Skip~~

"Okay. That's the last one!" She says cleaning up the spot she injected them all, I couldn't believe what I just went through. Every single memory from the maze to the right arm, they're all back! I can remember the beginning of the maze, the first time I met Newt. His first words to me were, "what's your name sweetheart?" I smile in happiness.

"Y/N? You okay?" Teresa asks waving her hand in my face, I look to her and nod. "Wait, Minho." I say to her worriedly, she looks around the room and eyes a computer. She walks to it and gets into the camera system, "that's weird. It's failing." She says, I quickly look out the windows in the room "no sign of them." I say, but before Teresa could say something Janson and WICKED guards rush past the room, I look to Teresa as her eyes follow Janson before looking back to me.

"Go get them." She says, I look to her and nod before running after Janson.

A/N: I feel like this chapter is terrible....but anyway! I'm gonna make this chapter two parts so...yeah.
