OUR LOVE IS NOT...

Our love is not a sandcastle -
it is that sand -
staring bravely, innocent against the bubbling ocean waves
knowing not how easily it can be wiped out
crumbling against each other between the bubbles and itself;
a proud but fragile piece of the masterpiece.
It is fragile.
Our love is not a woven string -
it is that string -
firmly grasping each other to make a good weaving
knowing not the friction, the pain and restricting
that in deciding to bind strongly together
it killed and cut each other.
It is ambitious.
Our love is not a promise made in heaven -
it is the making -
in trying to make it one that is favored by the Gods
the lovers have forgotten
that the heavens is not a destination arriving
it is the choice to make in everyday
the choice to stay together believing
preserves the promise more than the heavens.
It is overlooked.
