I'm probably like a week late but v-xviii tagged me and I've been half considering doing this for a week so let's go.

WHO IS YOU FAVOURITE CHARACTERS IN THE SERIES AND WHY?

I have quite a few although I am highly attached to James and Lily because their 99% of the reason I started the fandom. They annoy me in a lot of things I read (including my own tbh) as they end up being violent or just obsessive like I read one where Lily turns James down and he slaps her, like no? But at the end of the day I still love the combined sass and bravery as I reckon I would probably get on alright with them

WHO TO YOU IS THE MOST RELATABLE CHARACTERS IN THE SERIES?

Probably Lee Jordan if we're being honest here. Like I probably would do my bit for the war but wouldn't be out hunting but would probably run a snarky instagram account sassing out Voldemort which feels like the equivalent of Potterwatch. And to find out all the details, Lee must have been pretty good at finding information which I too, am good at. My cyber stalking skills are incredible and my friends now use me as a source of information when drama happens

Also we both have a tendency to make inappropriate jokes and flirt in the most obvious way possible which includes blatant compliments and niche humour.

My Dad is basically a cultish Xenophilius Lovegood but I've never really felt like Luna so I'll stick with Lee.

WHO IS THE CHARACTER YOU HATE MOST IN THE SERIES?

Probably Bellatrix. Helena is an amazing actress but I hated every scene that Bellatrix was in and she just struck me as a completely horrible person that reminded me of awful people I'd known in life. That or Snape. I fucking hate Snape

WHO IS ONE CHARACTER YOU FIND UNINTERESTING AND YET WHICH A LOT OF PEOPLE SEEM TO REALLY LIKE? WHY?

I hate to say this but probably Neville. He is a sweetheart but he has never once crossed my radar. At the beginning, I remember him sort of irritating me a little bit so by the time he developed and found himself a bit more, he'd kind of slipped under my radar and I'd forgotten his story. I understand why he was how he was, I've tried to be interested in him as he's a bean but just ... can't.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR ANIMAGUS WOULD BE? WHY?

I got a Swan which I guess sums me up alright as I am apparently quite elegant when I want to be but will also be loud and cause a fucking scene if necessary

WHAT WOULD YOUR POTTERWATCH PSEUDONYM BE? WHY?

Going with an 'R' theme, probably Rabbit or something as that's my Chinese sign

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE SERIES GREATEST FLAW IS?

I have a few, bear with me. I think the ships was one as none of them felt like they had much chemistry to me and were often rushed or underdeveloped, stuffed in there for the sake of it when other people probably would have been better for them. I also don't like the lack of diversity and those who were such as Cho Chang literally had a name that was two surnames, I think. 

WHAT DO YOU THINK THE SERIES BEST QUALITY IS?

The complex characters and time put into them. Even with the 'bad' characters you could see their motives and why they did what they did which made them interesting. The minor characters even have so much work put into them too so you could literally pick any character to write a fic about and go anywhere with them

SHARE ONE IDEA FOR A FANFIC YOU'D EVENTUALLY WRITE

I have a Nymphadora Tonks one I'll get round to at some point. Basically a girl called Roma gets pregant over the summer as she was woefully uneducated on sex and stuff thanks to her highly conservative family essentially pretending it didn't exist. She doesn't want to get rid of it but her Father works at the school so Tonks essentially pretends to be her for nine months whenever her Dad is around. That's all I've got really so far but idk I like it

WHO'S YOUR FAVOURITE UNDERRATED CHARACTER AND WHY?

Blaise Zabini. He just struck me as so interesting with many step fathers who died under suspicious circumstances. I love his refined nature paired with the fact he's probably got so much to deal with

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE UNPOPULAR HEADCANON FOR A CHARACTER?

That James didn't ask Lily out continuously and he wasn't in love with her for seven years. It seems to be accepted as canon but he only ever did it once so I really hate this headcanon with a passion now. I can imagine him trying to get her attention and bugging her but I don't like the idea of him asking her out every day

Also, I like the idea that he always noticed her but before fourth year and they would argue but he wasn't consciously aware of his crush until the boys sat him down, had a chat with him and he sussed it out

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE UNPOPULAR SHIP?

I don't know what counts as underrated anymore but probably Percy and Penelope. They struck me as quite sweet and Percy is a sweetheart so I like the idea of their cute little romance for some reason

FMK VOLDEMORT, DUMBLEDORE, UMBRIDGE

Probably fuck Voldemort because he was hot young, marry Dumbledore because he's gay so I wouldn't have to really do anything, just be his beard and listen to his slow burn plots. Kill Umbridge because yes

FMK SNAPE, FUDGE, GREYBACK

Marry Fudge because he's minister for magic and Effie Fudge has a nice ring to it. Probably kill Greyback and fuck Snape (but make it quick and close my eyes) although they both have greasy hair and a bad attitude so it's interchangeable

DO YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMATIC CHARACTER YOU ACTUALLY LIKE AND WHY?

I don't like Umbridge but she interests me, I feel like there's more to her that made her so fucking awful. As for ones I actually like Blaise, Theodore Nott, Barty Crouch Jr. Narcissa and Lucius and Grindlewald.

Also with Barty, the only reason I like him is he was a really good teacher and I can imagine him getting on really well with the other teachers because he may have had a plan but who said the bad side can't have good times

DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD HAVE FOUGHT IN THE WAR? OR STAYED NEUTRAL? ON WHOSE SIDE?

I would probably be on the good side but in a sneaky way. As much as I hate to say it, my weapons are words and gossip as well as lying under pressure so could probably make a decent spy. My ability to manipulate and create herd mentalities against the thing I'm annoyed about is quite impressive so I wouldn't fight on the front lines but infiltrate the bad side and slowly lure people away from it

So I guess that's good side but in a bad way

WHAT IS YOUR ALTERNATE HOUSE?

Ravenclaw probably as it's the closest to Slytherins and I'm fairly academic 

WHICH HOGWARTS CLASS WOULD YOU TEACH AND WHY?

Astronomy I reckon but it's crazy interesting although I'd probably spend several minutes rambling about the relative sizes of stars. Also the Astronomy tower would be the most romantic place in Hogwarts so I'd give students and teachers the keys in exchange for chocolates or actual money
