Chapter 16 ♔

I shook my head, "No Appa."

"Good. Then lets go ahead and make the announcement. There's no point in waiting. The sooner everyone knows, the better."

Daniel nodded, "I agree, let's go jagiya," he took my hand and we all headed towards the main conference hall and climbed up the stage, gaining everyone's attention. 

Appa spoke into the mic, "Good evening everyone. I'm glad you could all make it to this ceremony. I will now be announcing the reason why I called everyone today, as this is a very special moment for me and my family, not to mention for Samsung and all of its stakeholders."

The moment he mentioned "Samsung", everyone had their eyes and ears fully locked onto the stage. Some reporters and journalists even started filming us, making sure they recorded everything for the newspapers.

Appa took a deep breath before continuing, "I am very pleased to announce that we have found a suitable match for my son, Daniel. This lovely lady over here is Y/N, and she is Daniel's fiancé and bride-to-be."

My heart was accelerating incredibly fast against my chest and I could feel myself sweating. 

This is it. 

This is the part where everyone starts judging me. 

I bet that's what they're doing right now. I just hope I don't look too ugly.

After a few moments of intense silence, cheers erupted throughout the room. Everyone starts clapping and throwing flowers at us, making my eyes widen in shock.

I feel an arm wrap around my waist and a hot breath whisper in my ear, "See baby? They all love you~ There was no need to worry," Daniel chuckles.

I let out a sigh of relief and smile in response, "Yeah...I guess you're right. I was worrying for nothing, huh."

Right after the announcement was made, we got off the stage and engaged in conversation with many of the guests. Eomma and Appa introduced me to many of Samsung's business partners and other V.I.P guests. I greeted them politely and answered all the questions they had for me.

They mainly asked me about my family background, to which I proudly answered that I was the daughter of the CEO of LG. Obviously, everyone was impressed with that.

But when they asked me about my education, I was a bit hesitant to admit that I was homeschooled. But to my surprise, everyone was quite satisfied with it. They told me being homeschooled was a privilege, rather than a drawback. I don't really understand why, but I'll take their word for it.

Just then, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see some reporters with cameras and mics. "Hello Y/N-sshi. Mind if we take a quick interview of you?"

I smiled, "Sure, I don't mind."

They nodded and started filming me. "First question: do you love Daniel?"

I blanked out for a moment before blushing like crazy. 

Ugh, why do they have to ask me such embarrassing things?! This is gonna be on American TV!

Daniel chuckled and placed his arm around me, "Of course she does, right jagiya?" he said and placed a kiss on my cheek, making me blush even more.

The reporters cooed and smirked at us before continuing the interview, "Second question: we heard this is your first time in America. In fact, the first time you've ever travelled outside of Korea. How does it feel?"
