GuzmaxReader~Fails

"Excuse me miss." You hear an elderly voice say. You look up and see a woman with dark grey hair in a ponytail. "You seem to be hurting, champ."

"I'm sorry. Just a boy hurt my feelings that I love so much." You said as the woman sat beside you.

"He'll come around. You're such a beautiful woman and great with pokemon." She said as she pointed at your Squirtle who had fallen asleep. You smiled softly and sat back. You and the other woman continued to talk before the stewardess came on the plane to announce that the plane was leaving. You sat back and let the plane take off not noticing someone running to the plane.

Guzma was running to your flight. He knew the plane was getting ready to leave but by the time he got to your plane, the plane had taken off. He fell to his knees and tears fell down from his eyes. His Golisopod jumped out and tried to comfort him. He continued to push him away as he left. He failed to reach your plane in time. He failed to tell you sorry. He failed to tell you that he loved you.

~~2 years later~~

You had finished your journey in Hoenn and also had a journey in Sinnoh. Your Squirtle evolved into a Blastoise too. It was nice to meet everyone but you missed home and your friends. You also missed a particular Team Skull leader. Your plane had landed in Alola and Professor Kukui was there. You were surprised to see him standing there.

"Hey Kukui. I'm surprised to see you here." You said as Kukui sighed.

"Hey Y/n." He said.

"What's wrong?" You asked.

"It's Guzma." He sighed.

"What do you mean?" You said.

"Well..." Kukui said slowly.

"Kukui. What happened to Guzma?" You demanded as Kukui sat you down. Your suitcase and carry on was sat beside you.

"When you began to leave, Guzma ran to the airplane to try and stop you. He wanted to apologize. Your plane was already leaving by the time he got there. He came to me saying he failed like usual. When I questioned him what to do, he said that he was going to Po Town and locking himself away. I tried to push him to go to Hoenn but he didn't want to. He thought he caused you enough pain." Kukui said as your eyes widened.

"Kukui, can you take my things to my house? I need to go talk to him." You exclaimed.

"Of course Y/n. Please help him." Kukui said as you called Charizard to fly you to Po Town.

When you arrived to Po Town, there were a few grunts around but it was quite barren. You noticed that some of the grunts looked at you in shock while others began to run up to you.

"Please help the boss!" You heard from one.

"He needs you." You heard from another.

"Y/n." You stopped and saw Plumeria.

"Plumeria?" You questioned.

"Boss hadn't ate much since you left. He's pretty weak right now. Go help him. I know you love him." Plumeria said as she patted your shoulder.

"Oh dear..." You muttered as you ran up the stairs. A grunt stopped you about to ask you the password. "If you want your boss to get better. You let me through."

The grunt was hesitant until your Blastoise and Incineroar got out and growled. The grunt quickly let you through as you ran to Guzma's room. You knocked softly.

"Plumeria, I said to leave me alone!" You heard his voice croak out. You noticed he locked the door.

"Rai, come on out!" You said softly as your Alolan Raichu came out and looked at you. "Use Psychic on the lock."

As the door unlocked, you walked in and saw him bent over pale and thin. His Golisopod looked up and jumped in front of him before your Incineroar growled.

"Plum, I said- Y/n? I definitely need to eat something." He sighed.

"Guzma, it's me." You said softly as you walked forward. "What have you done to yourself?"

"I've failed so many times before and now I've failed you. Why should I continue?" He sighed. You bent down and pulled him into a hug. You began to feel tears come out of your eyes and onto his shoulders. "Y/n?"

"You haven't failed me. You haven't. If you continue to do this, it will hurt me more. Guzma, please stop this." You cried out as he looked at you with wide eyes. "I love you too much to let yourself continue to hurt yourself like this."

"You love me?" He said almost too soft to hear.

"Guzma, I loved you since I battled you in Malie Garden." You said as he looked confused.

"Why? You've beatin me so many times to count. I can't protect you. I fail too many times. I'm not a great guy. I was also the leader of an evil organization. Y/n, why?" He said as you smiled to yourself.

"Because every time you do get beat, you continue to push yourself and your pokemon. You are protective of your bug pokemon and you have a soft side. I love you Guzma. Even when you called me kid." You said with a smile on your face. He looked up and leaned in before he kissed your lips in fervent passion. You held him close as you two continue to kiss. Your Incineroar and his Golisopod were standing there in awe.

"Y/n, I love you too. I'm sorry I yelled at you. I'm sorry I said those things. The truth is, you are my world to be cliche here. I just thought you wouldn't like a failure like me." He said as you hugged him tighter. "Oomf."

"Quit calling yourself a failure and let's go back to my place. Let's get you some food and a shower." You teased as he laughed and you guys went back to your home where you introduced him to your mother who took him in open arms. Kukui was excited with the news and expected you two to get together at some point. It seems that coming home helped failure turn into success.
