GuzmaxReader~Fails

Team: Incineroar, Alolan Raichu, Bewear, Lunala, Squirtle, and Midnight Lycanroc

Warnings: Starts out mostly angsty then happy

You had just finished your trials and became champion of Alola. It was rough but after many battles and training, you made it to the league and completed. You kept your main team with only one addition being Squirtle. The rest of your team worked with you up until the league. You had returned home to see with your mom. You were going to leave in about a day to Hoenn to see the Hoenn region.

After spending a day at home, Professor Kukui asked you to come to his lab for a few minutes. What you didn't expect was that Kukui asked Guzma to come over. Guzma was standing outside by the door and you walked up. Your Squirtle was by your side running through the sand and going near the water.

"Hey Kid." Guzma said as you rolled your eyes.

"I'm literally your age. I'm not a kid." You sighed as Squirtle jumped on your shoulder. You gave a blue poke bean to Squirtle.

"You both came! Great!" Kukui said as you walked in and Guzma followed behind. "I asked you two to come here because I figured I could study battling between you two."

"She would still beat me." Guzma said.

"I still want to-"

"No! I will not battle Y/n just because you want to study battling and moves!" Guzma exclaimed as your Squirtle hid in your baseball cap.

"That's why I chose you two. Especially since I know some other things." Kukui said suggestively.

"SHUT UP!" Guzma exclaimed as your Squirtle shook. As you were about to say something, your midnight Lycanroc jumped out and barked.

"Kukui and Guzma, please stop arguing!" You sighed. "You're scaring my Squirtle."

"Oh shut up!" Guzma growled. "Just because you're the champion kid, doesn't mean you run the place! When can you learn the world doesn't revolve around you!"

Your eyes widened and you took a step back. Kukui's eyes widened and you felt your eyes becoming wet. You had a crush on Guzma since you first battled him in Malie Garden. Him yelling at you was scary and sad. Kukui went to reach out as you stormed out the door and Lycanroc followed.

Guzma began to calm down before he realized what he said. His dark eyes widened as he spun to Kukui.

"Did I just?" He said while his voice was shaky.

"You yelled at her. I thought you liked her? She ran out." Kukui sighed. "Look, I brought you here to make you guys tell the truth about each other. Y/n was planning on traveling to the Hoenn region soon and I wanted you to tell her the truth."

"She's leaving?" Guzma said. His hands began to shake and he fell to his knees.

"I thought you read my letter." Kukui said as Guzma shrugged his shoulders.

"Kukui, you know me. When's Y/n leaving?" Guzma sighed.

"Y/n is leaving later today." Kukui said.

"When's her flight?" Guzma demanded.

"6 o'clock." Kukui said as Guzma looked at the time.

"That's in 30 minutes!" Guzma exclaimed before running out.

You were at the airport with your pokemon on your belt and your carry on. You found your seat in the middle of the airplane. You sat by the window and sighed. You didn't take notice that your Squirtle hopped out of her pokeball and wiggled herself under your hand. You sighed and felt a tear fall out of your eyes. You said goodbye to Hau, Lillie, Gladion, the trial leaders, the trial captains, and your mother. Hau, Lillie, and Gladion were younger than you but they still seemed to be great friends. Guzma still hadn't found you. Not like he would.
