Devil x Reader~ Change of Heart

You are best friends with Cuphead and Mugman. You knew about their debt to the Devil and how they defeated King Dice. You were suppose to follow them because you were their healer. You were mostly a medic with medicine. No special powers just a human with medicine in a backpack. It was time they went to meet with the Devil. You were asked to join them for some reason.

"Come on Y/n!" Cuphead yelled as you were running to catch up. Just because you lived near Sally Stageplay didn't mean that the walk was short.

"I don't know why I have to come! I don't have a debt!" You said as Mugman snickered.

"We think the Devil will have to act differently for you." Mugman said softly.

"What?!" You exclaimed as the side door to the Casino was wide open. You were standing outside as Cuphead and Mugman were staring at the open door. The Devil was waiting.

The three of you walked in and you saw a blood red chair and the black being was staring at you three with a smirk. You stood behind Cuphead and Mugman who had the contracts in hand.

"Very good. You got all the contracts and beat up my own lackey, Dice. Now hand them over and why don't you go ahead and throw the girl." He said as he stared at you. You gulped and even though you were taller than Cuphead and Mugman, you still tried to hide.

"No way! You're not getting these contracts or our friend Y/n!" Cuphead yelled.

"I guess I'll have to take it from you. Along with the beautiful girl Y/n." He laughed darkly as the battle began.

Blue, green, and orange bullets flew as the Devil was sending demons and turning into different animals. Cuphead and Mugman were fighting hard but were taking some damage. You knew the Devil was strong.

"Just give up and let me have those damn contracts! The girl will be mine too!" The Devil cackled as Cuphead shot him.

Phase two began as the Devil peeled his skin off and jumped in a hole. Fire began to spread as there was a small hole. You noticed that the whole room was on fire. You also noticed that the fire went around you. It was as if you weren't suppose to get hurt. Like the Devil cared in some sadistic way.

You didn't know how the battle was going. You could hear yelling and growling. You heard something that sounded like one of the cups had fainted. But the other parred. You let out a sigh as you heard what sounded like crying. A loud noise and you heard cheering. All three were teleported to the top.

The Devil was scraped and wrapped in bandages as Cuphead and Mugman had some scars. You ran over to them and checked their wounds.

"Y/n we're fine! We won!" Cuphead cheered. You still checked their wounds before releasing a sigh. Mugman was laughing with Cuphead as they burned the soul contracts.

"You guys had me worried!" You exclaimed. The Devil was watching your every move. You looked to meet eye contact and his face appeared darker.

"We're okay mom!" Mugman teased as you rolled your eyes.

"I can't help I'm the one who is careful!" You said as Cuphead and Mugman hugged you. You heard a growl but when you looked up, the Devil was looking away.

"Y/n! We need to go tell the other townsfolk!" Cuphead exclaimed.

"Of course!" Mugman said as you smiled at them.

"Let's go!" You said as Cuphead and Mugman ran to the door. You began to follow before someone grabbed your wrist. You were pinned to the wall behind you.

"Off so soon?" The Devil growled as you shrugged your shoulders.

"Since you were defeated, I was going back with the two cups." You said as he held you tighter. Why does the Devil continue to hold you tight? Unless he wants to use you for something.
