"A hybrid?" I wasn't familiar with that term. That word was no where in my database so i was confused. I watched Miss Brous kneel to the bodies just below her bare feet. I remember that she kicked off her shoes but it looked like she didn't mind.

"Why would someone need human blood if they were part android?" I took a sample of the dried blood near on of the girls body. I slowly brought my fingers to my lips licking the substance. It wasn't the girls' blood and for once nothing came up, not even a name. I tried sampling it again almost panicking.

"I think there is an error in my program, nothing will come up." I furrowed my eyebrows trying to figure out the solution to my little problem. Miss Brous noticed this and crouched down next to me. She rested her hand on my upper back rubbing circles.

"You okay, Connor?" Her voice was gentle and quiet. I explained to her and she listened.

"Maybe you should go back to Cyberlife, im sure they can help you out." She then realized what she said and covered her face im embarrassment. I smiled at her even though she couldn't see it and slowly i wrapped my arm around her pulling her in. She was surprised from the sudden action but she never pulled away.

"Detective Brous! We found some more evidence." We both turned around and as soon as she got loose in my hold, she stood up quickly like she wanted to forget what happened. Was it because it was in public? I shook off the thoughts refocusing my sights on the investigation.

"We found little droplets of blue blood on the ground but that's it. We think the culprit is an android." That's when she spoke up with a determine look in her brown eyes.

"It can't be an android, if that was the case, we would have three different samples of "red" blood and blue blood." The rest of the police department decided that the investigation was over and continued to clean up the mess. I stood right next to Miss Brous awaiting a command or order.

"We can go back to our hotel, im still pretty tired out from the trip here." And with that, i followed her without a word. Every once in a while i found myself wanting to speak but nothing would come out.

"Why are you so quiet all of a sudden?" Miss Brous faced me. With her now incredibly short hair hugging her face, i couldn't help but stare. I shook the thought once Amanda came into mind making me almost shutter.

"There is nothing to talk about, i already know everything about you." That response didn't make her any happier, creeped out, probably.  I huffed looking elsewhere. That's when i felt her fingers intertwine along with mines. We stayed still like that for a couple of minutes before gazing into eachothers eyes. My chest ache wanting more of this feeling. I felt and instability in my software causing me to yank my hand away.

"We need to go, im sure Lieutenant is waiting for us." I felt nervous, anxious and even excited at her touch. Her touch was sensitive to me that i felt that i would go full deviant. I definitely need to ask Hank about this.

"Sorry, i-i didnt mean to startle you." She looked away quickly from me flashing hurt from her eyes. Immediately I felt bad but I couldn't risk Amanda finding out. I stayed behind as she walked in front a me. Shit, this could possibly ruin my relationship with her.

We relaxed at the hotel but I couldn't help but notice the extreme distance Miss Brous put between her an I. Hank only kept glancing at us occasionally making eye contact with me. He finally broke the deathly silence asking the long awaited question.

"Why are you guys so distant?" Hanks grouff voice snapped Miss Brous attention and she immediately got up and left the room without a single word. To who knows where, she was gone with her purse at hand. A pregnant pause wafted through the air until I decided to speak up.

"I actually wanted to ask you a question that has been on my mind." I sat up facing toward the now interested detective. He leaned slightly forward resting his hands on his knees.

"Im all ears." After he said that, i proceeded.

"I feel strange every time Miss Brous touches me. I don't know if this is and error or...." I gazed off losing track of what i was saying. Of course it's an error, this is a sign of deviancy. I murmured a nevermind immediately regreting I said anything at all.

"Connor, what you're feeling is attraction. Are you attracted to Ana?" Hanks question was straight forward but for some reason, I couldn't answer him directly.

"That's a human emotion, Connor. That is what you're feeling. If I were you, I wouldn't talk to anyone about it outside our little group." Hank chugged down another alcoholic beverage that was provided by room service. I watched, trying to come up with something to respond with. This shouldn't be hard. Why is it so damn hard to respond back.

"She's mad at me. I freaked out on her earlier which caused this reaction. She was only trying to comfort me and i panicked. I can't help but feel...warm when im next to her." I said, as i leaned back into my chair. I didn't want this feeling to go away.

"Are you deviant?" I paused, it was like the word was a poison and my body was reacting negatively to it.

"I-I don't know. "

"Connor, i won't think any less of you if you decide to go deviant. I can tell you really like her from you staring at her all the time. It's obvious." Thats when my mind froze. Deviant?

"I-I am deviant?" I stared down at my hands looking back up to Hank.

"I-I am devaint."
