After finishing up my breakfast, I showered and changed into some fresh clothes before heading downstairs to meet Daniel.
He was sitting on the couch, talking to someone on the phone. It sounded important so I didn't disturb. "Dad, please not today. I'm gonna spend the day with Y/N. I promise to complete the office work tomorrow alright?" he spoke through the phone.
I gulped. I hope Appa isn't angry with me for taking up Daniel's time...
Since Daniel was on speaker phone, I could hear Appa's voice through the line, "Oh is that so? Why didn't you just say so before? Now stop talking to me and go be with Y/N. She should be your first priority, not work. Remember Daniel, Y/N is a precious member of our family and your future wife so you need to take good care of her alright?"
......
I was utterly speechless by what Mr. Kang just said. And here I thought he would hate me for wasting Daniel's time.
I guess not.
He is surprisingly understanding and considerate, just like Daniel's mom.
"I know that dad, that's exactly why I took the day off to spend time with her. Alright, bye." Daniel hung up the phone and stood up.
He smiled once he saw me, "Hey babe, you look great. Ready for the surprise?"
I nodded and he took my hand, leading me towards the courtyard of the mansion. Hold on, isn't this where the swimming pool is?
Why is he taking me there? Especially after what happened last time...
"Uhm Daniel? I don't think I should..." I hesitated.
He squeezed my hand, "Don't worry kitten, I promise I won't let you get hurt. You can trust me," He smiled and continued leading us towards the pool.
I blushed at the new nickname. He has a lot of nicknames for me, but 'kitten'was by far the weirdest.
Once we got there, Daniel opened the courtyard door for me and I stepped outside.
I was greeted by the sight of a familiar swimming pool. However, it looked completely different than usual. The pool was decorated with rose petals and lush bombs. Candlelights were lit around the whole courtyard area, giving the place a romantic feel. There were also some bubbles floating above the pool, being carried around by the wind.
I was in awe as I stared at the breathtaking sight.
Wow, it's like the swimming pool got its very own makeover.

Daniel chuckled at my reaction and held my hands, "I'm glad you like it, babe. I stayed up all night preparing this for you."
I looked at him in surprise, "Wait, really? But why?"
He smiled, "As I said before, I felt lonely being apart from you. So I did this to make up for all the time we lost together. Now c'mon, let's go for a swim!" he grabbed my hand and started running towards the water.
"Wait, Daniel! Did you forget what happened last time?! I can't swim for gods sake! I'll drown!"
He ignored my screams and pulled us both into the water. "Ahhh! Daniel wtf!!" I screamed as we dove in with a splash.
The nostalgia from last week returned as I felt myself drowning once again.
Oh no, not this again!
Why did I agree to this?
I should've just stayed in bed.
Suddenly, I felt a pair of strong arms wrapping around my waist. I had my eyes closed underwater but I knew it was Daniel who was saving me.
I mentally smiled as I felt him bringing me up to the surface, saving me once again.
Once we reached the surface, we both gasped for air. His arms were still secured around my waist, having no intention of letting go.
"See princess? It wasn't that hard, was it? Don't let your fear consume you. By the end of this day, I'll make you the best swimmer in the world. I don't want to see you drowning ever again," he said as he gently pushed the wet hair out of my face.
I nodded, "Alright Daniel, but please just don't let me go."
He held me tighter, pulling me even closer to his chest, "Don't worry, I'll never let you go. I promise."

And so, we spent the rest of the day splashing around the holy pool. Daniel really made an effort to teach me how to swim. Due to his expert lessons, I was no longer afraid of water and could swim relatively well.
After swimming, we dried off and continued our casual house-date by watching movies , cuddling, and other normal couple stuff.
But what I didn't realize, was that Kang Daniel was anything but normal.
