Loki and Jenny were walking down the street to buy coffee on the way back home. The two took in at the coffee shop and bought their usual but on their way out Loki bumped straight into Tony and their eyes meet. No lie could convince Tony the man in front of him wasn't Loki and Loki knew that. Loki cleared his throat "Tony" He said "I thought i recognized you this morning" Tony said. "Could I talk to him alone for a moment?" Tony asked turning to Jenny "Il wait in here" She said glaring at Tony.

Loki followed Tony outside "Loki what are you doing back on earth?" Tony hissed in a barely audible whisper "I'm here to get a fresh start" Loki said honestly "Why?" Tony asked "I'm not welcome anywhere anymore, and earth is the only planet I know of were an everyday person wouldn't recognise me" Loki said "How many planets have you terrorised?" Tony asked "I didn't terrorise them. I was part of the group of warriors who fought and protected the nine realms but Asgard has informed the nine realms of my betrayal" Loki said with a sigh

"You protecting people?" Tony said in a mock surprised voice "Oh shut up with that surprised tone, I saved your ass rember?" Loki said annoyed "Why are you here anyways?" Loki asked "To get coffee" Tony said, Loki raised a questioning eyebrow "Okay to see who you were, because i thought it was you but I wasn't sure and as an avenger I have to make sure you don't cause any trouble" Tony said

"Tony you know me better than anyone else, you know I don't cause more trouble than a prank if i don't have too" Loki said "I don't know if that's true anymore" Tony said "I haven't seen you in a year and last time I saw you, you attacked New york with an alien army" Tony said "I didn't have a choice! I was tortured and brainwashed! I had to do something to try and keep the tesseract from Thanos!" Loki hissed "Thanos?" Tony questioned "Oh nevermind" Loki said giving up

"No now you tell me what happened!" Tony said "Now is not the time or place for this!" Loki said "Then when and where is that?" Tony asked"Somewhere more private, come back to my apartment and I'll tell you" Loki said "Alright, get your friend and show the way" Tony said

Loki waved to Jenny to come out and the three walked to the completely silent and everyone was angry. In the building they parted ways and Loki and Tony went into Loki's apartment. "So you go by Liam Hiddleston this time around huh" Tony said the bitterness clear in his tone. "I couldn't as well go by Loki Laufeyson now could I" Loki spit back annoyed. "Now can you tell me?" Tony asked

"When I fell from Argard I landed among the chitauri, they tortured me to help Thanos, an evil being bent on destroying the world to get the tesseract one of five infinity stones. I couldn't let him so that so I came up with a lie, that I wanted to rule earth. I choose to attack earth because I knew the avengers would defeat me, that was the plan and to scatter the infinity stones so one stayed on earth and one on Asgard making Thanos job more difficult" Loki explained

"What about all the people you killed?" Tony asked "I told myself they were a straw compared to the haystak of people Thanos would have killed if he got the stone" Loki said "I regret every single kill, I could have gone through with the plan without spilling any blood" Loki added and collapsed onto his sofa with a heavy sigh.

"I tried to convince myself that I had to do it, I needed to be seen and what villain would be seen if they didn't kill?" Loki said "But I have no more excuses, only lies. But that's not news, That's all I've ever had lies." He added. Tony sighed and sat down beside Loki.

"Is it true?" Loki asked breaking the silence "What?" Tony asked confused "Pepper, is she gone?" Loki asked. Tony nodded sadly "Yeah" he said quietly "I lost her just last week" he added "Sorry, I didn't know it was so recent" Loki said quietly "No it's fine" Tony said

"How are you holding up?" Loki asked sheepishly "Not great, everything is falling apart around me and I can barely stand on my own two feet" Tony said in a frustrated sadness "The only reason I'm not sitting in my house in my own mess is because Steve and Bruce are helping me" he added with a sigh.

"I would offer my help but you probably don't trust me anymore" Loki said "I could use all the help I can get, but you can't come like yourself with Steve and Bruce there" Tony said "Yeah no problem, I can be there this weekend" Loki said "Thanks Loki" Tony said and smiled softly "No problem" Loki said softly

"I actually have a phone this time around, so here's my number." Loki said jotting down his number on a piece of paper and handing it to Tony "I have to get back home before everything falls apart" Tony said and got up. Loki got up as well and followed him to the door.
