Tony was reading a book that bruce had given him it was a science book that was two inches thick, he had already finished it once but he read it again just because he had nothing better to do. He'd been in the hospital awake for only a day and had to stay for six more. He knew Pepper was coming to visit at some point and he was dreading her visit. Then he heard a groan.

He turned to see Loki slowly hoisting himself up, he hadn't noticed it before but his face was full of cuts and bruises but he was somehow still handsome. Loki looked around the room until his eyes met Tony. "Tony" He said with a smile in a hoarse voice. Tony quickly turned away before their eyes could meet "Are you okay?" Loki asked in a worried voice.

"I'm fine" Tony said plainly "Good to know I didn't jump of the side of a building for nothing" Loki said with a pained chuckle "Where are your friends? I'm surprised none of them have killed me yet"Loki added, Tony didn't say anything. "Okay." Loki said awkwardly "Can we at least talk?" Loki said, Tony turned to Loki "About what?" Tony said "What happened at stark tower for example?" Loki said "There is nothing to talk about" Tony said firmly "What?" Loki asked his face showing a mixture of sadness and fear "It was nothing"Tony said "Nothing?" Loki said his voice shaky "Was I the only one who felt the passion in that kiss?" he added "Yeah" Tony lied

"You killed 80 people in two days, attacked new york with an alien army. How could I possible love you anymore? You're a monster" Tony said bluntly Loki's face reflected that of a sad puppy who's just been kicked, a single tear rolled down his cheek. Tony quickly turned away not being able to look at Loki anymore.

Days pass and Loki doesn't say anything, Tony was now mostly recovered and Loki would soon be moved to Asgard. On the 5th day came Pepper to visit.

Pepper entered the hospital room and she started to tear up, she ran over and hugged Tony who hugged her back. She then walked over to Loki and slapped him right across the face. "I deserved that" Loki said "You said you loved Tony you asshole! You absolute shit" She said and slapped him again "I deserved that to" Loki said "I did actually save him though" he added "he was only ever in danger because of you!" Pepper said angrily

"Wait you know him?" Tony chipped in. Pepper sighed and nodded "I knew who he was back when the two of you were dating" Pepper said "She wouldn't buy my lie so I told her the truth, which she didn't buy at first either" Loki said "You knew back then that he was Loki the god of mischief?" Tony said, Pepper nodded "Did you know Loki faked his death?" Tony asked raising his voice. Pepper nodded again. "Why didn't you tell me?" Tony asked "I thought you were better of not knowing" Pepper said

"Better of!" Tony yelled "Well at least I wasn't making out with him behind your back!" Pepper yelled back "He kissed me!" Tony yelled back in defense "I'm sorry" could then be heard from Loki in between the screams both turned surprised to Loki "I am so sorry for what I've done to your relationship, despite what you might think Tony and what you try to ignore Pepper. I just want you to be happy Tony and you two were happy before I came back into your life" Loki said "I have healed enough to be moved but I can't leave with you still fighting because of me. I love you Tony and I know there is no one on earth who will care for you more than Pepper does. So please don't fight on my behalf" Loki finished finally tearing his gaze from the ceiling to the two others.

Then before anyone in the room could say anything the door opened and the avenger came rushing in in their suits. "The staff said they heard shouting" Steve said. Loki nodded at Pepper who understood. "Loki got up at tried to attack me but I was able to push him back onto the bed and got away" Pepper lied, Loki laughed his mischievous laugh and everyone bought the story."Get the tesseract, it's time to take Loki back to Asgard" Thor said

All the avengers started to get ready to take Loki away safely, the released Tony and they all watched as Thor and Loki left. Tony and Loki shared one last fleeting look before loki disappeared.
