Part 6

Third Person POV

Tony woke up to the bright hospital light and the beeping of a heart monitor. He blinked a few times until his eyes adjusted to the light. He slowly hoisted himself up, almost everything hurt. "He's awake!" Someone Tony couldn't make out said. Then the avengers walked into room "You've been out cold for 5 hours" Steve said "What the hell happened?" Tony asked rubbing his forehead "You fell out of the sky" Natasha said "Yeah no I remember that but what happened after that" Tony said "Loki pushed you into the side of a building" Clint said "But whatever he was trying to do he failed" Thor said "What do you mean?" Tony asked "You came out practically unharmed compared to him" Natasha said "Is he dead?" Tony asked in a worried tone the avengers took as a frightened tone. "Sadly no" Bruce said "Don't speak of my brother that way" Thor said in a booming voice 

"Don't speak that loud please I already have a headache" Tony said "Oh, Sorry" Thor said awkwardly "What will happen to Loki?" Tony asked "I will take him back to asgard when he is fit enough to walk" Thor said "Where is he now?" Tony asked "On your left" Steve said. Tony looked over to his left to see an injured Loki chained down to the hospital bed "Kinky" Tony said jokingly and without looking at the avengers he practically felt how all of them rolled their eyes.

"How long to I have to stay here?" Tony asked "A week"Steve said "Yeah no" Tony said and tried to get up but his hand was handcuffed to the bed, Tony looked up at the avengers. "We figured you wouldn't agree to rest" Steve said. Tony sighed and sank back down into the bed "Whose idea was it?" Tony asked "Natasha's" Bruce said. Tony gave natasha a flirty look and she slapped him, causing Tony just to laugh.

Nick Fury then entered the room and indicated for everyone to leave, They obliged and left. "What have I done now?" Tony said jokingly sitting up. "Well, you can start by telling me why you and mister God of Mischief over there where making out in your tower" Fury said blunty "What?" Tony said trying to hide his surprise and worry. "Don't pretend, we have the security footage" Fury said "How did you get access to that?" Tony said "Pepper Potts" Fury said "What?" Tony said unable to keep his cool anymore "Miss. Potts was very worried about you, and when we informed you weren't present in the beginning of the battle she checked the footage. She then reported what she saw to Natasha, her only connection to the avengers who then informed me" Fury said 

"The handcuffs" Tony mumbled under his breath "Exactly" Fury said "Who else knows?" Tony asked "Just us. We figured we would give you a chance to explain yourself before the others knew" Fury said "So now talk." He added "It's easier to show you, if I get access to a computer I can tell you" Tony said "If you get access to a computer you'll hack into every system in this building" Fury said 

"Years ago, before I was Ironman a met a man named Tom Hiddleston. Despite what I thought I fell in love with him, but we were only together for a month but we still got engaged. There was just one thing he died in my arms." Tony said "And what the fuck does that have to do with Loki" Fury said "Let me finish" Tony said "This is that very ring he gave me" Tony said taking of his golden ring  and handing it to Nick "On the inside there is two sets of initials engraved, T.H and T.S." Tony said "Nick looked at the ring "Actually it said L.L and T.S" Nick said 

"What really?" Tony said and grabbed it back and looked at it, the initials had changed. "So it does" Tony said "Anyway, if you look over at Loki you can see that he is also wearing a ring. And if I'm not completely wrong that ring will be a twin of this one" Tony added. Fury gave him a look "I would get it myself but..." He said and janked on his handcuffs. Fury rather reluctantly got the ring and looked at it. "It's a match" He said and put the ring back on 

"You are supposed to be smart so you should be able to piece it together" Tony said. Fury then pulled out a gun and pointed it at Tony and not soon after Natasha joined the room as well with her gun drawn.  Tony said and put his hands up "I'm injured and handcuffed to a hospital bed what the hell do you expect me to do" Tony said, the two reluctantly lowered their guns

"So you clearly came to the wrong conclusion, so let me walk you through it" Tony said putting his hands down gut as soon as he did both Fury and Natasha raised their guns again "Alright" Tony said in a reluctant tone and raised his hands again "I got engaged to a man called Tom like i said, what I didn't know was that he was also Loki the god of mischief. He was a different man back then, you can ask Thor or any asgardian and they'll probably confirm that. Like I also said I saw him die in my arms, but he didn't die. I mourned him, I missed him and I tried to forget him. Then out of nowhere he comes back alive, which stirs a lot of emotions in me I hadn't felt in a while. Then in my tower he was the one who kissed me, I tried to resist but the feelings became two much." Tony explained "Loki is just the ghost of a man I knew" He added

"How can we believe you?" Natasha asked "I can turn on the audio of the footage" Tony said "You can hear our conversation" He added. Fury nodded to Natasha who left and came back with a computer and a USB. They started everything up and pulled up the password lock. They held Tony at gunpoint as he typed in the password 'Semper Amare Rosa 1997' followed by a few random numbers that seemed like a date and the audio switched on.

They watched the footage over "Alright I believe you" Natasha said putting her gun away "You can search up Tom Hiddleston as well" Tony said. After at least 50 news paper websites Fury put his gun away as well. "Thank you" Tony said "Can you take of the handcuffs now?" He added "No. You deserve that for cheating Pepper" Natasha said and the two left
