Next thing we know there's a baseball bat not far from my face
Kevin:"mini Keith one and mini Keith two what the hell are you doing here at this time"He says putting the baseball bat down"had me shock thinking it was a damn burglar or some shit"
Payton:"uncle kev were just borrowing our dads car,alright we'll give it back just don't tell him"
Keith:"oh he already knows"he says coming in the kitchen "gimme the keys"
Kayton:"dad please come on our car could get stolen"
Keith:"give me the keys"he says more frustrated putting his hand out for the keys
I just stared at him with desperation
Keith:"right 3...2...1"he tries grabbing my hand when he finishes counting down but me and Payton run of.

We both jumped into the car
Payton:"start the car start the car!"he says in hurry
Our dads comes running out
Keith:"get out the car boys!"he yells
I start the car and drive off

Payton:"dads gonna kill us"
Kayton:"it'll be fine"
Payton:"he's literally gonna be so pissed of Kay"
Kayton:"calm down"
Payton:"do you even remember where the house is?"
Kayton:"yeah man why you stressing don't worry"

We got to the front of the house and I spotted the car straight away.
Kayton:"in a bit yeah"
I hop out the car leaving Payton to go return our dads car.while I get in our car and take it home.

Jamal POV
Jayden finally agreed to let me see my mom so we were on our way driving to her house.when I got a text from Ranaye.
Mygirl💋❤️😍-baby am leaving today like real soon can you come see me

Jamal-can't got something I've got to do I'll explain later sorry

Mygirl💋❤️😍-alright But your not gonna see me for a while and I was really hoping I could see you before I leave

Jamal-when I have time I'll FaceTime you

Jamal-Ranaye I said I'll explain later

Jayden:"were here"he says parking the car

I knew my last comment got Ranaye pissed cause she tried calling me,but i didn't answer.I really just wanted to concentrate on seeing my mom.i'll call Ranaye later.

I get out the car,so does Jayden and we walk over to the door
Jayden:"I've already called to tell her we're coming.....you ready?"
I nod my head yes and he knocks on the door.

After a long while and She opened with a small smile on her face.i stared at her face paying attention to ever feature and noticed me and her shared quite a lot of the same features.But I definitely got my dads skin tone she's more chocolate.

Ebony:"come in"she says making way for me

Glaring at my mom,then going back to sit in the car

first thing I noticed was her house was huge,it was bigger than Payton and Ranaye's house and there parents have been in so many successful films and tv shows they are balling.

Jamal:"wow this place is real nice"
Ebony:"aww thank you"
Jamal:"what do you do like for a living?"
Ebony:"oh well am a lawyer"
Jamal:"cool"

She lead me to her living room and I looked around noticing a family picture of my mom some white guy am assuming is her man and a girl who looked a couple years younger than me.
Jamal:"is this your man?"
Ebony:"yes that's my husband and my daughter McKayla she's just turnt 16"
Jamal:"what he do"
Ebony:"am sorry what?"
Jamal:"what's your husbands job"
Ebony:"ohh he's an orthodontist"
Jamal:"where he at now?"
Ebony:"work"
Jamal:"hmm so you left my dad for a white dude"
Ebony:"uh well yes but me and your dad ended things for reasons that have nothing to do with my husbands skin tone"

There was silence for a while until she broke the silence.

Ebony:"you've grown so much,how old are you now?"
Jamal:"eighteen"
Ebony:"alright so your in college"
Jamal:"no...I don't go school"
Ebony:"oh"she says looking disappointed"so what do you do exactly"

she looked at me real confused,I couldn't tell if she was confused at the fact that I called my dad Jayden or that I worked with him.
Ebony:"does your father still sell cocaine?"
Jamal:"yep and so do I..is there a problem"
Ebony:"um no it's just I hoped Jayden would take good care of you"
Jamal:"uh he is taking good care of me why do you think that you have the right to judge what I do when you chose not to be in my life"
Ebony:"look Jamal it wasn't like that,it's just that my boyfriend well now husband didn't like the idea of living with a child that wasn't his"
Jamal:"so what am hearing is you chose your boyfriend over your own son"
Ebony:"Jamal I know it may sound bad but am genuinely willing to get to know you now"
