Disappointed
When I got home, I was surprised that my family already knows about my sudden decision of volunteering to go to Afghanistan.
My mother is going nuts and she doesn't know what to think or what to react!
"What were you thinking, Brittany? That place isn't safe! You could've get killed-"
"Margaux stayed there for a year. Nothing bad happened to her except from getting shot. And where is she now? She's still alive and now married to one of the soldiers that is in charge of their protection." I said like I was putting some sense to her.
I bet Tito Ferdinand was the one who told them this. Ang sabi ko ako na, e. Pero siguro hindi lang rin talaga siya mapakali nung nalaman niyang nag-volunteer ako, kaya hindi na siya nagpaligoy-ligoy pa at sinabi na kay Mommy at Daddy ang tungkol doon.
"Brittany, your PTSD-"
Oh, this again! Ilang beses ko ba sakanila ipapaliwanag na kung babalik man iyon, I know what to do now! Dr. Anderson taught me how. At tsaka, sa tingin ko naman hindi na babalik iyon maliban nalang kung may masamang mangyari.

"She probably wants to go there to follow Jaxon's brother," pag-singit ng kapatid ko. Tiningnan ko naman siya ng masama. My father roughly turns to me. Nagtataka niya akong tiningnan.
"What does he mean by that?" he asks. Umirap ako at nagpakawala ng malalim na hininga.
Kahit kailan talaga epal 'tong kapatid ko! At tsaka, ano bang ginagawa ng kapatid ko dito ha? Isn't he supposed to be with his wife? Don't tell me, he left her alone again?
Gosh! He's so useless!

"Brittany, sweetie, are you involved with the younger Ventura?" si Mommy.
"Yes, mom." My brother answered for me. Pinalo ko naman siya.
"Wag ka ngang epal!" suway ko.
"Since when, Brittany?"
"Mom, this is not the time to intrude about that. I'll explain everything to you soon when things are... okay." I pouted.
My mother beamed at me. Bakit ata nag-iba bigla ang mood niya? Why does it look like she's happy about this? Parang kanina lang, galit pa siya dahil gusto kong sumama sa Afghanistan ah? Tapos ngayon na nabanggit si Kiel, ganito bigla ang magiging reaksyon niya?
