Don't Come Back

I had just finished work, it was about 3 am by the time I got out of there. After saying my goodbyes I decided to start walking home.

Normally the walk would take about 60 minutes, but if I cut through the local graveyard it cuts around 20 minutes off the walk. Having done this numerous times during the day I had no real hesitation at first, but after about 5 minutes I had that feeling I was not welcome there so I started walking faster just trying to ignore the feeling.

What I heard and saw next I really cannot explain. At first I heard faint crying so I stopped and listened and I turned to the direction it was coming from. From what I could make out, as it was about 30 feet away, coming out of the darkness was a man holding out his hand towards me and crying.

I started to back up trying to keep my eye on the spirit, which I assume it was. Anyway, finally making it out, three words came into my head... "Don't come back."

If anyone has a idea what I could have experienced, let me know. I have had numerous things happen but I am still no expert. It would be nice if anyone could tell me what I encountered that night, and also if it's possible for spirits to follow you home and if I should be worried.

I have had activity in my house which started a few days after my encounter: doors closing and opening; I have heard my name being whispered in my ear at night and now my dog, which loved to live in the house, will not step foot in here anymore. I have had friends stay the night and leave early in the morning because they say someone is watching them sleep.
