They are cannabalistic monsters that use to be human. A human becomes a wendigo by eating human flesh and then developing a craving for human flesh that cannot be stopped. This craving drives the person insane and they begin to form into a wendigo. A wendigo usually has razor sharp teeth and glowing eyes, while also looking human when they want to.
