Chapter 19
Anna
“What?”
I ask, hoping that I was deaf and he was lying.
“You heard me. Elsa. Is. Dead.”
He repeats, I swallow a lump down my throat.
“Don’t say it again!”
I shout, tears streaming down my cheeks.
As I lie down on her comfy bed.
I continue to sob. As I hear Jack starting to snicker.
“Why are you laughing?”
I ask, as he burst into tears. He was laughing so hard I felt like the entire room was shaking. And I also felt like laughing, too.
But I didn’t. instead, I got confused, and started crying even more.
He laughing gets louder and louder by the second, then he lets the cat out of the bag.
“I’m sorry, I just couldn’t keep it in!!!!”
I manages to say, between laughs and chokes.
“Jack!! You were supposed to open the closet by now!! And instead you started laughing!!”
A voice scolds. Elsa comes out of the closet. And my tears stop dripping.
“Elsa!!!”
I hug her, as if this was a cheezy movie when the main character lives instead of dying.
“Wait a second, you pranked me.”
I pull away. As she giggles, and shrugs.
“Yeah.”
She confirms. I hug her again.
“Okay.”
She pats my head.
I close my eyes.
“A sister is one of the best creations God has made.”
