The next day I open the doors to school. Everyone looks over at me and there is dead silence. Peoples faces go pale. Why are they looking at me like that? Oh ya they think I'm dead. Great.

Lauren comes to my rescue and says

" Everyone stop staring! No Tris is not dead and never was... and yes I know we were enemies but we sorted out our differences and are friends now! Okay?

Okay." she says. She loops her arm in mine and we go to class.

Before I know it it's 11:37 and science just started with Ms.Matthews. She is teaching when I shyly say " ummm Ms.Matthews? I kind of have to go to my doctors appointment."

" Okay you may leave Beatrice" I wince at my real name. I hear a few people snickering, but I shoot them death glares and they shut up. I get up and and open the door. I am half way out when I say " thank you Jeanine." The door closes and as I walk down the hall I can hear the room burst into laughter. I can't help but laugh to my self and walk out.

I am sitting on the hospital bed when the Doctor comes in. I see that he has a confused look on his face. I get nervous and ask " why hasn't the effect happened today I don't understand! what's going on? did you find a way to stop it?" I keep asking questions when he finally cuts me off and says

"Yo- you're cancer it's gone"

" What?! I ask astonished.

"How" I ask trying to process what he just told me.

" I don't exactly know how, but I do know that it was one of the effects of the serum." He says. I am crying tears of joy, not even necessarily because I no longer have cancer but because I can be with the one I love and want to spend the rest of my life with;

I walk back into school and see that I would have only just now gotten out of science, so I go up to my locker and put my things away and walk to lunch. I get my food and sit down at my table to see that everyone is here except Toby.

Hmmmmm

We eat and make small talk until Christina says " so Tris what was the effect today? was it bad?" She asks. I can't help it when a smile forms across my face. " The effect was better than good. It was a miracle!" I say.

"What was it?!" Uri asks excited.

"I- I'm Cancer free!" I squeal. Christina jumps in me and tells me how happy she is. I smile as everyone tells me congrats. " Thank you guys, so umm, I want to tell Four, and ask him out again, do any of you know where he is?" I ask. Zeke, Uriah,and Lauren all exchange nervous glances. "What are you 3 hiding." I ask. Before they can answer I hear a tap on a mic and someone clears their throat. I turn around to see Tobias standing on stage with a guitar. Then he looks right at me and by now everyone is quiet and watching. He starts playing his guitar and says "Tris I love you so much and I know you only broke up with me so that you wouldn't hurt me but it hurts more not to be with you so-
