Chapter 2
I mean don't they see that I am a living person too and it's rude to stare. I just want to scream I am not a freaking rock without feeling! It's not like we leave in Asia (A.N I have nothing against Asians, I love them ^^) were most of people are short. We leave in America for God's sake and so what if I'm a 5”11” some people just need to get over it.
Sky of course stayed by my side and never even mentioned the stares we were given. But I need to say that it’s kinda funny how we are best friends even though Sky is just only 5”0” ( about 152cm). I know our height difference is huge but it never stopped us from being there for each other. Sky kept giving the rude people evil glare and it was very funny, well for me most likely. Sky can be angel but if you mess with her it’s a total different story. I remember in grade 6 boys kept laughing at me but Sky went and hit them in face. Just the memory of it made me smile like a total idiot. Sky gave me the “Are u crazy” look but I just shook my head.
When we finally made it inside to the lockers Sky jumped in the air because somebody hugged her from behind. Ah, I can feel the love in the air, and a shocked look on Sky´s face, which is epic.
“Blue, what did I tell u about sneaking behind me?” Sky started to shout but I saw the big smile which she tried to hide.
"Aww came on honey, I haven't seen you all summer and this how you treat your most handsome, sweetest, greatest, most awesome boyfriend in the world?" Yes leave the sweet talk to Blue. It was always like this Blue being smooth and easy-going when Sky was more of cool person. All in all I think what Blue brings Sky's childish personality and Sky helps Blue to grow up and be the man.
I started to laugh but Sky just rolled her eyes, turned around and jumped on him making him laugh too. She is so lucky that she can do that, even though Blue is Japanese he is still pretty tall about 5''9 (175cm).
"Awww I know you love me soooo much" Blue awed smoothly.
"Not cool, Blue not cool" I said and just kept smiling watching the sweetest couple in front of me.
So finally when Sky and Blue finished their sweet talk we made our way to get our schedule. When I had mine I let out I heavy sigh.

2nd-------English Literature Teacher: Mrs. Brown
3rd--------Chemistry Teacher: Mr. Lee
4th---------Drama Teacher: Mrs. Smillie
5th---------Lunch
6th---------Independent Studying
7th---------P.E Teacher: Mr. Winters
Great Calculus first, just kill me now. "Guys I have calculus first. More like calKILLus because a piece of my sanity dies with every equation."
"Oh, but we have calculus with you so I think you'll live, besides after that I have biology or more like BYEology because I'm out." Said Blue.
I laughed at his way of describing biology an added "Let’s not forget chemistry or more like cheMYSTERY because I have no idea what’s going on"
"Uhmmm guys I have physics after that so it’s more like no, just no." After Sky’s comment we all exploded with laughs. I guess even if I have calculus first I still have Blue and Sky with me so it will be easier for me.
We made our way to Calculus and sat at the back of the classroom. There is no way that I am sitting in front. I remember the year when Mr. Johnson had the crazy idea of drawing lots and the number you got is your new place. Me, being the least lucky person in class got number 1 and of course it meant the seat right in front of teacher desk. Let’s just hope that was the last time he did that because there is NO way I going to seat in front ever again. I don’t think I could deal with people behind me again, telling me to cut my neck or something. Nice, I know, just feeling the love there.
Luckily for me and other students Mr. Johnson let us sit where we wanted. After hour of calculus torturing my brains, I was ready to go home and just relax in bed but my legs moved me to my next classroom. Blue and Sky waved me goodbyes and went their way. Mrs. Brown was an elderly woman who leaved with her five cats. Despite her old age she was pretty cool as a teacher. And English Literature was fun at least for me.
I walked down the hall full of students when suddenly someone jumped on me from behind.
“HI Ai” I turned my head and saw Nali. Nali was very cute and clumsy person. She also was my other best friend. Ai was her nickname for me since grade six.
“Hi Li” Li was my nickname for her. Most of the people think that Li is very shy but I know the truth. Li is very outgoing and very funny if you get to know her. In high school not everyone pay attention to Li even though she is tall not like me but still taller than average of girls here anyway, a little over 5’9’ (about 175cm). Li have the cutest short blond hair that make her seem like an angel even though there is a little devil inside if you mess with her. And her eyes were the clearest blue color that I have ever seen. Just like Sky Li spent most of her summer in London working on her model career. She came back only a week ago and that week we been hanging together like soul sisters we are.
“So saw any hot eye candy today?” Li asked with spark in her eyes. Li seems to think that boys are always after me and I know the deal is not that way at all.
“Li, hun you know I will never get a boyfriend in this school anyway, who what a giant giraffe anyway?”
“Aw maybe a hippopotamus, u know like in Madagascar? I always said that Melman and Gloria are cute together.” I just couldn’t keep my poker face and starter to laugh with tears in my eyes. That Li for you, always making me smiles.
“Yeah a hippo would be nice but I don’t want my boyfriend to weight so much even though they are cute. So what about you, found someone?” I kept starring at Li and saw her face heating up.
“Uhh..huh” Li kept struggling with her worlds like she didn’t have anything to say, but I knew better.
“Awwww Lili who is the guy?” I sang in sweet voice. Nali was single but, her modeling career and killing looks made her irresistible.
“Okay, okay it’s Alex. I always had a little crush on him but after this summer I finally understood that this crush is getting serious. He has a great personality and to top it all that boy has a body of Greek God" She said and went bright red and shy all of the sudden.
Alex short for Alexander was Blue friend, who moved here about a year ago. And soon became my good friend also. It's funny how someone who was just a stranger last year, can be one of your best friends now. He is very tall 6”1” ( 185cm) with dirty blonde hair and amazing green eyes. Together they would be the model-like couple of the school. I knew that Alex is very good guy so I think that they can make it. Besides it's cute when you have a crush or someone admits they have a crush on you. For me though it's a freaking miracle if that happens.
“AWWWW you are so cute and shy, can I pinch your cheeks, sweetheart?” I talked in sweet baby voice and smiled.
“No way!! And I am not shy. I am holding back my awesomeness so I don't intimidate you. But really have you seen those green eyes? And his hair is so shiny that it makes me do some crazy things to it. His height is perfect too, I like tall guys because they are closer to Jesus. And you can't forget his lips, they are total heaven like paradise in this hell. Uhhhh I just wanna to kiss him right here and right now”
“Okey T-M-I Li, keep it together woman” I said and smiled at Li who continued to dream about Alex. Oh well if my friends are happy I am too. We arrived in class just in time and sat near each other in back. The teacher came a little bit late but started class right away with boring notes. Well I guess I can write some stuff and learn something. I never was a bad student but I learned the best if I wrote all notes down in my notebook. I remember when I got my first A in English writing it was in grade 3. Teacher gave the homework of writing a tale or fantasy. Most kids wrote how a princess found her love or prince defeated the monsters and other poopy stories like with happily ever after. When teacher read them aloud I was falling asleep of boredom. My story rocked and even if some of the kids didn’t understand my story fully it’s was their fault. I wrote a story of how a marshmallow felt in love with a mug of cocoa, and how he loved the cocoa so much that in order to be with her he melted and died. That was pretty hard stuff right there for a 3rd grader if you ask me. I think my mom still has the story safely somewhere. After that story I noticed that writing is the best way to express yourself and ever since then I never got anything but As.
After English Literature I had boring chemistry it got boring 'cause I was alone there. Sky, Blue, Nali even Alex were somewhere else, which left me all by myself. The good thing it went fast and next I had my favorite Drama. It was the class where I use to have a lot of fun. The coolest thing is that in this class Sky, Blue, Nali and Alex are all together with me. The teacher Mrs. Smillie was very funny and we all laugh at her jokes all the time. Drama hour went fast and finally it was Lunch break. We all went to our table and had fun like always. But this little feeling kept nagging me when I watched Sky and Blue flirting, and Nali and Alex smiling faces, like I am the fifth wheel or something. I just shook the bad feeling off and it’s not like they will leave me.
“So Blue did you heard the news?” Asked Alex with a little smile that must be of the fact that Nali stayed still even though Alex's arm was on her shoulder. I just smiled because they were so cute.
“Yeah, man I don’t even know if it's a good or bad thing” Blue answered with a little flown.
“What news? Dudes just keep me in the dark I don’t mind, not at all” I said like it offended me that they have their own secret conversation.
“Now, now Aimee no need to sarcasm.” Said Blue with a smile.
“Yeah it not our faults that you didn’t hear it yet and let me tell you the whole school just keeps talking about it. Or do you have your own little world up there?” Added Alex. Even though my friends joked about my height it didn’t affect me at all I even could laugh at their jokes ‘cause I knew they love me for real.
“Hey not fair you are taller than me” I said to Alex and he just showed me his tongue. To answerer his action I just rolled my eyes.
“Real mature people” choked Nali.
“Aww I know my tongue is hot no need to tell me” Said Alex to Nali and she went bright red. Oh I can see the love in the air between them. I will give it about a month if not less to them to start dating each other.
“But really what the deal or maybe I need to hit you in forehead like I always do?” I asked with humor in my eyes. I know nobody could take them very well.
“NO, not the forehead I think mine shared too many tears in past.” Said Alex and covered his forehead. I guess he remembered the truth or dare game we played not so long ago then he been not so smart and choose dare and got me to hit him in forehead with my two fingers. What can I say, it hurts, a lot.
“Yeah we don’t want to lose the last brain cells that Alex has” Said Nali with smile.
“Okay, okay lovebirds, what I wanted to tell you Aimee is that there is a new boy in our school. He is the Ex-Captain of the Red Dragons football team.” said Blue.
“Finally someone answered me thank you. But aren’t Red Dragons ones of the strongest teams in States?” I said and didn’t know what to feel. I mean what it is to me, football never been my thing, and the games I do go is usually just to cheer on Blue and Alex while keeping Nali and Sky company.
“Yeah they are really good in what they do and part of that is their Captain’s work. I heard he is like devil even though I never seen him.”
“So it is a good thing, right? Because now maybe our football team have chances of getting into the championship after all?” I really didn’t know a lot about football but Blue and Alex were good at it they also where one of best players in our school.
“Yeah, but that mean that Blake needs to leave his captain position for this guy who we don’t even know yet. I am happy of course that Blake is leaving his position, if you just could have heard all the screaming he went through saying that he will leave the team and that we are nothing without him as captain vice versa, well you know Blake the king of jackasses” Said Blue. Just the name Blake brings out chills. Blake is the most evil person I ever came across. Yeah he is good at football but that just it, he just doesn’t have a heart. All the sluts are after him but I know better.
“Oh well I hope Blake-baby doesn’t poo in his jeans when the guy come and beat him in his own game.” Said Sky and we all began to laugh.
“Oh and the guy’s name is Jace Littlebird” Mentioned Alex. Haha I began to laugh Littlebird, just one more crazy surname I have ever heard. Mine was even funnier because of my situation it's not like you'd think that the 5’11 girl could have Tinny as a surname. I mean the surname seriously just don’t go well with my height. When I was younger I just hated my surname 'cause it gave the motive to bully me more. But as I got older I just learned to live with it.
As time went on and on the bell rang which meant for me the study hall. I said my goodbyes to Blue, Sky, Nali and Alex and desited to go to the library. I was moving in empty hall 'cause everybody was in class or chilling outside when suddenly somebody walked straight into me. The person's height wasn’t as tall as mine but they had strong arm 'cause when I was already falling backward on my butt those arm helped me. I stood and looked down only to lock my eyes with most beautiful bright hazel eyes. Those deep hazel eyes which had brown, green, and yellow around pupils kept staring at me. The person had brown hair that reminded me of chocolate they also were shiny and looked soft. I seriously considered of touching his hair, but I knew that would just creep the guy. I felt as I was paralyzed because those beautiful eyes kept me in cage still. I don’t know how much time passed it felt like hours but in reality maybe just a couple of seconds. When his arms let go of mine I felt cold but shook the strange feeling away.
“Awww, you are so cute, just keep watching where you are going the next time don’t want to have angry seniors to eat you alive” I smiled warmly and patted his head like a little cute puppy. Okay so I did touch his hair and I regret nothing ‘cause his hair was as soft as I imagine it to be and I liked it, sue me. The guy must me a freshman or a sophomore, I never saw him before.
“Well if a giant like you sometimes watched where you are going and didn’t keep her head so high in sky maybe you knew where you are going” The guy just spat at me. I just stood there shocked and my anger just went to the max.
“Well it wasn’t my fault” I said defensibly. Really the dude needs some ice water or something.
“Well if your head wasn’t talking to ceiling maybe you could see better.” Okay the guy seems pretty angry for a freshman, definitely a sophomore. PMS:ing much? I laughed inside my head.
“No need to be so angry, I am sure the year will be better in future. What? Didn’t you get friends or something, well you have 2 or 3 more years to make them” I smiled and waited for a smile in return I mean not everyone get friends straight away. And if he was new then it is his first day, so I am not surprised that he is alone.
“Just go away you Skyscraper,” the guy just seemed more and more angry and shoved me out of the way and kept going down the hall. And I just kept staring at him regardless of his short height he sure had more muscles than most of the guys I knew.
Okey that was strange I thought. Oh well might just go to library at least. As they say a library is a hospital for the mind. The study hall went without any more accident and it was my last class P.E. Oh well let’s see what Mr. Winters come up with this time.
