Nick- "He's More Caring Than I Thought"

"WE MADE IT!" I yelled as i slammed the safe door behind us "I can't believe we made it!"
"We only crossed the street" nick stated annoyed
"Yeah and that's a goddamn achievement for me!" I panted "you know it's not everyday that you manage to outrun a tank with no ammo and actually not get yourself killed"
"Girls got a point" coach added eating a chocolate bar

All of a sudden my vision went slightly blurry as my breathing got heavier
"Yn shouldn't you have caught your breath now?" Ellis asked
"Yeah that's weird, your more athletic than any of us" Rochelle stated
"I'm fine" I leaned my back on the safe door
Nick walked up to me
"Sweetie, you sure your okay?" He looked concerned.
"I'm...fine-" suddenly I felt my self fall as my world went back

Nick POV
"Woah!" I was startled when I saw Yn falling, I quickly wrapped my arm around her waist and my other around her shoulders, our faces were close and I felt my face heat up-
wait what? Why am I blushing?

I cleared my throat as I stood up straight still supporting Yn
"I'll take her into another room to rest" I told the others
"Look after er nick" Ellis told me worriedly
I nodded and held her bridal style, and carried her to the other room

I placed her on the bed and I kneeled on the floor and stayed by her side making sure she was okay.

10 minutes later..
Yn POV

*thump*
"In a minute mum" I mumbled as I opened my eyes slightly but closed them again immediately due to the light shining on me from the ceiling, I propped myself up on my elbows and blinked repeatedly until I got used to my surroundings
"Mhmm"
I gasped slightly and looked to my side ready to fight- although I would have lost given I have just woken up.

"Oh" i sighed in relief as I saw nick sleeping, he was shifting quite often making thumping noises.
looks like I wasn't the only one who needed a rest... in fact I didn't realise how much we all needed a rest, given that the most stressful man who always pushed us to keep going fell asleep in less than a few minutes.

I smiled to myself knowing that nick cared enough to stay, he's more caring Than I thought, actually come to think of it now I remember that from the first moment we all met on the roof of that hotel, he was always more kind to me than the rest of the group...

...some time earlier back at the hotel...

I was on the roof of a hotel with the others hoping to catch the helicopter, we met on the second floor and introduced ourselves in literally one second due to them chasing a helicopter I wasn't even aware of, however when we got to the top we were too late

"One second!" Nick yelled "we missed it by one. Whole. second! I am pissed off right now! Like severely pissed! I. Am. pissed!"
"Tone it down man it ain't helping" coach told him,

"And not to mention, for some odd reason this building. Is on fire, how did it even start?!" Nick asked trying to let out his anger

"That may have been me" I looked down, I was swarmed by zombies and I have no ammo, I had no choice"

"It's weird how it's spread so fast And by the sounds of it more zombies have entered, this place is lit like a theme park attraction for those things" Rochelle pointed out

"Look man" I hesitatingly placed my hand on his shoulder "coa- sorry coach is it?" I turned my head to the man and he nodded, I looked back at nick with concern "coach is right, this ain't going to help any of us, we all need to pull through and be on our toes because now there are more, can you do that for us? For me?" His face softened and he looked at me with concerned, he looked as if he actually took what I said into consideration, we kept eye contact, it felt as if we couldn't even pull away, I found myself lost looking in his eyes until Ellis spoke up
"Actually it looks like the whirlybird is heading to the mall"
"Oh my god Ellis!" Nicks anger returned, he broke eye contact and faced Ellis "we've been through this! If you call that thing a whirlybird one more time I'm gonna make you wish your sister never gave birth to ya!"
"Nick please!" I held his arm, pulling him to face me, his anger somehow managed to fade again
"The boy's right" coach agreed "I can lead us the way, everyone suit up we gotta leave now"

"Here" nick handed me two pistols "use them wisely we can't have you running out of ammo and resort to more fire"
"Okay" I thankfully took them out of his hands
"Stay behind me at all times you got that?" He told me
"But why-"
"Alright let's go, if you're not ready I don't wanna hear it" he commanded as he walked to stairs...

...Present day ...

Come to think of it, since that point nick has been more protective of me since that moment, I smiled remembering all the times he went out of his wits to protect me, maybe suit does have a heart after all.
Suddenly my smile faded seeing him shift uncomfortably, I remembered that whilst I was in the bed, he stayed uncomfortably on the floor waiting for me to wake up, I want to move him on the bed but I don't want risk disturbing him, this is the first time I've seen him sleep.
"Beautiful..." I gasped breakingg away form my daze...hold on, no way, nick sleep talks? Probably why doesn't sleep in front of any of us, wait who is he calling beautiful?
"Y..n.." he mumbled "I love...you"
I tensed and felt my face go beet red, I've Always had a thing for nick but I never expected him to have something for me, or maybe he doesn't, after all it is just a dream.
"I love you too" I smiled "even if it is just a dream" I ran my fingers through his hair gently
"I'm not dreaming" he replied "and get your hand out of my hair, it's greasy enough as it is"
"Hold up what?!" I instantly moved back a little embarrassed
"Well I was half asleep, I Don't exactly remember saying I love you but if I did I wasn't lying"
I was silent, taking all of this in
"...okay who are you and where's nick?"
"Damnit Yn I'm serious" he stood up and pulled me up with him, he backed me into the wall slowly and gently, he placed his left hand on the wall beside my head to prevent me from going and he held my waist firmly with the other

"I do love you, and you took a long time to figure it out"
"But-"
"And from what you said you love me too? What can I say? I'm irresistible"
Okay now the asshole I know is back but I didn't care, if anything I was distracted by his voice, it was deep, rough and sexy due to him just waking up, he lent in close to my ear and whispered
"I love you" as he gently bit my ear and pulled away, but before he could leave I grabbed by the collar and pulled him in close and I smashed my lips onto his, both of his hands were now firmly gripped on my waist and we kept kissing, I felt his body press against mine but pulled away due the lack of oxygen
"Yn Ln" he laughed as he sat on the bed " I think that means you love me too?" he grinned smugly
"Shut up-" he grabbed my arm and pulled me to sit on the bed next to him and he pulled me into his warm embrace, letting me rest my head on his heart,
"Wow" his heart beat was so calming
"What?" He looked down at me
"You know, you're not who make ourself out to be, you appear as an asshole but you put your teammates first and always come to our aid, thank you nick"
"Heh, that's nice but I doubt that the others think the same-"

"Actually we do" Ellis stood by the door
"This thing was open the entire time, you know if you just wanted to make out you could've have just said instead of faking passing out" Ellis winked
"What?! No I really did pass out!" I blushed
"Haha! I know just teasing, now let's go we need to make it to the final safe room before it gets dark" he left the room and it was just me and nick again

"Shall we go?" I stood up However nick grabbed my waist and pulled me into him
"Be sure to stay behind me okay?"
"I can handle myself" I laughed "in fact, better than what you can do"
"Miss Ln is that a challenge?" He grinned
"Of course, we'll see who should really be protecting who" I smiled as he stood up and wrapped his arm around my waist as we left the room

Hey I'm so sorry I haven't updated in ages, and this chapter probably isn't as good as the others it's just that my GCSEs are super close and I have to spend as much time as possible doing revision and extra lessons at school and it's quite tiring and can kill your motivation so I haven't had much time to write good enough chapters but don't worry I'll update as much as possible and once the tests are done I'll be able to update more quickly with better chapters you've been waiting for!
