We got home safely (thank god) and started helping Soda make dinner, which obviously won't turn out well.

"Why isn't Darry making dinner tonight?" Johnny asked.

"Because he needs to rest and I want to surprise him." Soda replied.

"But we a-all know it won't turn out good." Johnny said.

"Yeah but we've gotta try." Soda encouraged.

"He's right. We can't rely on Darry to make dinner for us for the rest of our lives." I said hoping onto the counter.

"Hey guys." Dally said walking into the kitchen.

"Where were you?" Pony asked.

"At Buck's." He smirked.

"Did you b-bang some broad again?" Johnny asked.

"Yeah, it was real good." Dally replied sitting down.

"Watch what you say." Soda warned.

"Why?" Dally asked.

"Because your little sister over there probably doesn't even know what we're talking about." Pony replied getting out some vegetables.

"Yeah, and it's all your fault." I said accusingly.

"My fault? I did this to protect you!" Dally defended.

"But now if someone asks me 'Hey, do you wanna bang?' I'll have no idea what they mean!" I exclaimed.

"If someone asks you if you wanna bang just call one of us and we'll handle it." He grumbled.

"No! I wanna know what it means!" I pushed.

"Oh, lord..." Johnny muttered rubbing his head.

"Uh, I'll help Soda cut the meat." Pony said not wanting to get into the conversation.

"I-I can help you with that." Johnny flushed walking over to him.

"Why doesn't anyone want to tell meeeeee?" I whined.

"Because you don't need to know." Dally groaned.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Oh, here's Darry, why don't you ask him?!" Dally exclaimed thankfully as Darry walked into the room.

"Wha- I thought you were gonna be late!!" Soda screamed.

"I never said I was going to be late." Darry replied. Soda thought for a moment.

"Oh, yeah." He replied sheepishly.

"We wanted to surprise you by making d-diner." Johnny said.

"Well you still can, I'll be upstairs in my room." Darry said patting his back.

"No, no, no, no! You stay right here." I said walking up to the older man and grabbing his arm.

"You, old man, are going to tell me what it means to bang." I stated hopping back up on the counter. He rubbed his face and sighed.

"How did this conversation even start?" He asked.

"Well it was all Dally's fault." I shrugged. Darry glared at him.

"It was actually Johnny." He replied as a matter of fact.

"S-Sorry..." Johnny muttered.

"Johnny it's not your fault," Darry started.

"It's your fault for wanting to know what it is." He finished, looking at me.

"Well don't you think I'd want to know about something that everyone says is soooo good?" I asked. The boys started chuckling.
