14. Eating Problems And Bad Outfits

"Both." She replied with her mouth full.

"What are you wearing?" I asked eyeing her outfit.

"Some new clothes Dally stole for me." She replied as she swallowed the cake.

"Do you like it?" She asked.

"No, it's too revealing. Go wear something else." I said.

"W-Why? You don't l-like it?" She asked taking a bite of the cake again.

"Yeah, I like it but other guys will like it a lot more than me." I replied.

"Is that why Pony and Johnny were staring at me before I walked in?" She asked innocently with some icing on her nose.

"T-They were staring at you?" I asked wide eyed.

"Yeah? You didn't see?" She asked.

"How could I have seen if I was in here the whole time!?" I exclaimed.

"...Oh yeah." She replied finishing the cake.

"Are you done now?" I asked.

"Yeah." She replied.

"Okay, go upstairs and change." I said.

"But I don't want to." She pouted.

I grabbed her arm and pulled her into the living room where Pony and Johnny were.

"...Hey Soda." Johnny muttered.

"Hi Johnny." I glared.

"Why do you have your underwear in a twist?" Ponyboy asked looking at me.

"Oh I don't know, maybe because you guys were eating her with your eyes!" I exclaimed pushing her onto the couch.

"Why'd you do that?" She asked fixing her hair.

"Because you youngsters are feeling yourselves a bit too much." I replied.

"You're young too." Johnny pointed out.

Riya's POV

"I'm turning seventeen!" Soda exclaimed.

"We're basically the same age." Johnny said scooting closer to me.

"Yeah but I'm a year older than you." He replied.

"That doesn't make you an adult." Johnny said.

"Since when have you started talking so much Johnny?!" Soda exclaimed frustrated.

We all started laughing at him.

"Oh so you think this is funny?" Soda asked angry.

"Why are you so angry?" I asked.

"Because these guys are taking advantage of you and you don't even realize it!" He replied.

"They aren't taking advantage of me, they were just looking at me." I said.

"Why do you think they were looking at you?" Soda asked as Two-Bit walked in.

"Because they like my outfit." I said standing up and twirling around. Two-Bit whistled.

"Damn girl! You got a nice butt!" He exclaimed walking towards me.

"Two, you take one more step and imma slit your throat." Soda threatened.

"Riya. Go change, right now." He demanded.

By now I knew he wasn't just kidding and that he was being serious so I walked upstairs to his room and found a different outfit to wear. I changed and walked back downstairs to see all the guys sitting on the couch watching Mickey.

"Is this better?" I asked sitting beside Soda.

"Yeah, that's much better." Soda replied putting an arm around me.

"I like the other outfit better but that works too..." Two muttered. Ponyboy slapped the back of his head making him shut up.

"Can we go on an-"

"NO!" The boys shouted.

"Why nooooot?" I dragged.

"Because we can't get into another mess like last time." Two replied.

"What happened last time I went on an adventure with you?" I asked him.

"Don't you remember the scary soc?" He asked.

"All socs are scary." I replied.

"Not Cherry Valance." Ponyboy replied.

"What's with you and Cherry Valance? Are you guys a thing or what?" Soda asked.

"I wish. But she's with Bob Sheldon so it'll never work out." Pony sighed.

"Aw, don't worry Ponyboy, you'll find someone." I reassured.

"Johnny how's Benita?" Two asked.

"She's alright. I think she went to this cool cabin place in the mountains with my aunt and her family." He replied smiling.

"You wish you were there, weren't you?" Pony asked.

"Well I just miss her thats all... But I've got my family here and that's all I need." He replied.

"Do you mean your parents or us?" I asked.

"Us you dumba-"

"Hey. Watch your mouth, Two." Soda cut him off.

"Sorry, didn't know you care for your girl that much." Two replied.

"She isn't my girl." Soda said.

"Y'all aren't a thing?" Pony asked. I looked at Soda to see his answer.

"Well not yet." He replied.

"It takes time." I added.

"She's right." Soda said backing me up.

"Well I think y'all would be real cute together." Johnny smiled.

"Thanks Johnny." Soda and I said in unison.

"Maybe I'll ask you out sooner than I thought." Soda whispered.
