Chapter 27

695 27 7

Note: I don't know why there's so little dialogue for like the past few chapters, except for that chapter where Rea told Rei about the post.

"Hrahh!!!" I shouted as I swung my sword towards the gem.

*ping*

-2000

I was shocked by the amount of damage I had done, considering that it wasn't even a critical hit! Seems like the gem is really its weakness. But, after I attack the gem, I am left vulnerable in the air. Farelum, The Stone Golem, could just kick upwards or punch upwards to hit me. But, even if it did try to attack me, I would just use [Negating Slash], dodge it, or use [Counter and Jump]. But for normal players, they would only be able to dodge it, use [Counter and Jump], or block the attack.

I continued attacking its gem continuously non-stop using [Darkness Slash], [Black Sky Slash], and either [Negating Slash] or [Counter and Jump]. This way, the boss was not able to damage me once even though I kept attacking it. Soon, its HP reached the critical zone.

33%... 27%... 23%... 19%...

It now had 19% of its HP left. Like every other floor boss which I have faced, it entered an enraged mode. Its stone body now had a red glow surrounding it, and lava 'leaking' through the cracks of its body (Don't imagine anything weird). I looked at its stats again and this time, they were higher than before.

Farelum, The Stone Golem | Level 38 BOSS
HP 39425 / 207,500
Enraged Status
Weakness: Gem on its head, 30% Magical Damage
Resistance: 30% Physical Damage
Attributes: Strength 450 Agility 100 Endurance 300

Its Strength and Endurance had increased by one and a half folds and its Agility increased by two folds! Since its Strength value was bigger than 2x of my Strength stat, I couldn't use [Negating Slash]. But, I forgot that and I still used [Negating Slash] and continued with my previous pattern of attacks.

*ping* A few red damage indicators appeared.

-3200, -3500, -3800, - 4000

My RNG (Random Number Goddess) must be blessing me right now! I had dealt 4 critical hits in a row. Seeing them, I sped up even faster and brought my Agility stat to the very limit.

*ping* Many damage indicators appear with some red ones.

-2100, -2000, -3000, -4000, -2830, - 1980, -2100, -2200, -2500, - 1890, - 3400, -3350

Overkill

Loot obtained increased by 2x (excluding user drop rate buffs)

Since I had discovered its weak point, this fight only took me one hour instead of the original amount of time which I needed to use to kill it. It was quite a huge difference, about 3 hours or so. It also said that I had obtained 2x the loot which excluded my title buffs. So, I should have gotten 3.25x the loot.

In fact, the boss had dropped 10 items, 2 common, 2 uncommon, 3 rare, 2 epic, and one Unknown rarity.

Bronze Sword】| Rarity: Common | Attributes: Strength 8 | Equipment Restriction: Strength 40 | Lore: Forged by an unknown blacksmith and was accidentally dropped by an adventurer in many of The First Towns' areas.

Bronze Bow】 | Rarity: Common | Attributes: Strength 6 | Equipment Restriction: Strength 30 | Lore: Forged by a random blacksmith and was accidentally dropped by a weak adventurer in a dungeon near The First Town.

Iron Sword】 | Rarity: Uncommon | Unidentified | Attributes: Strength ??? | Equipment Restriction: Strength ??? | Lore: Forged by ??? and was sold to ??? and finally was obtained by ??? after killing ???.

Training Scythe】 | Rarity: Uncommon | Unidentified | Attributes: Strength ??? Agility ??? | Equipment Restriction: Strength ??? | Lore: Scythe used for training. Specifically used for the ???.

Iron Knuckles】 | Rarity: Rare | Unidentified | Attributes: Strength ??? Endurance ??? | Equipment Restriction: Strength ??? | Lore: Forged by ??? for torture and fun. Relatively used by people who like torture.

Additional Skill: If the user likes to torture someone, or is in the process of torturing someone, +20% physical attack damage dealt.

Stone Rock】| Rarity: Rare | Unidentified | Attributes: ??? Attack Damage ??? Range ??? | Equipment Restriction: ??? Attack Damage ??? | Lore: A piece of rock which can be thrown. (Note by me: Basically a troll item but lel)

Silver Spear】| Rarity: Rare | Unidentified | Attributes: Strength ??? Agility ??? Endurance ??? | Equipment Restriction: Strength ??? | Lore: A spear made out of silver crafted by an intermediate blacksmith.

Crystalite Rod】| Rarity: Epic | Unidentified | Attributes: ??? | Equipment Restriction: ??? | Lore: A rod made out of crystallite, ??? (the ???'s means more)

Additional Skill 1: ???

Additional Skill 2: ???

Water God's Earring】| Rarity: Epic | Unidentified | Attributes: ??? | Equipment Restriction: ??? | Lore: ???

Skill Scroll】| Rarity: Unknown | Lore: Gives the user the skill Dual Wielding upon use. (You are probably thinking, "KIRITO OWNS THE DUAL BLADES SKILL HOW DARE YOU USE IT", unfortunately for you, this is the 'Dual Wielding' Skill)

I was surprised by the 【Iron Knuckles】because it would mean that the person must be a sadist to use it. Luckily, another item dragged my attention away, the 【Skill Scroll】. It granted the player the Dual Wielding skill once it was used. I did not know how powerful it was so I decided to go back to The First Town along with some other reasons. One of them was because I wanted to appraise my items, the other was to rest.

So, I ran down from the Third Floor to the First Floor using the staircase. Luckily, after you have cleared at least 3 floors, the floors below will not have any mobs spawning there.

And so, I headed straight to the appraisal shop and sat there waiting for my turn.
