"They're shooting like mad dogs," Jin's laugh brought a smile to Emily's face.

"Idiots," Taehyung said, his tone making Emily's smile fade away instantly. He was chuckling. "They fell for it so easily."

Emily almost asked Taehyung if what he just said was directed towards them but after remembering that literally everyone would hear her, she stopped herself. Still, the way he said it made her stomach churn, like there were layers upon layers hidden in those words. She remembered the way his eyes had darkened back in the army's base. That was very suspicious.

Facing the side, Emily made eye contact with you and waved back as you raised a hand at her. She thought about your current relationship with Taehyung. Not wanting a part two of you and Yoongi's situation, she decided to keep her suspicions to herself.

Emily turned towards Hel's fighting ships and inhaled sharply. She stared at her bow, seeing the white buttons located near its handle. Remembering Kihyun's instructions, she entered a combination and felt gears shift in her quiver, then a small click as an arrow protruded. The protector pulled out the arrow, which now had a blinking red dot on it.

"Hey guys, we should get ready," Hoseok spoke through the earpiece, reminding everyone else of the other half of the plan.

"Yeah," Emily replied. She strummed the string of her bow, creating a snapping sound as she pulled it back. Closing one of her eyes, she aimed for one of the fighting ships. "On three."

Emily could hear flames light up and wind blow behind her as everyone got ready for battle. She exhaled loudly.

"One."

The protector imagined a target painted in red and white on the fighting ship's rear. Emily made a mental goal, as she always did, to hit the bullseye.

"Two."

Emily thought about a lot of things. About her mother, Mathilde, and her father she was yet to meet. She thought about Hemel and Hel's war and the possible casualties from it. She thought about Jin, who she loved with all her heart. She thought about you, who she swore to protect with her life.

"Three."

Aim and shoot. Emily released an arrow and watched it fly across the blue sky. There was a long silence until the arrow made a small thud as it stuck onto the rear end of the fighting ship.

Then it exploded. Flames erupted from the rear as it started to spiral downwards, just as the illusion of the fake tower faded, along with the mist concealing the real fortress.

Jungkook screamed, his voice shooting through Emily. "For Hemel! Attack!"

The Helian army was obviously caught off-guard because for a moment, nobody fought back against the Hemelian spearmen that flew upwards. The archers released their arrows as well. From her view, she could see some of them skewer a group of Helian soldiers on the deck.

With the Helians still struggling to gain control of the situation, Emily smirked. She watched as the Hemelian soldiers flew onto deck and tackled the Helians. A spark of magic and clashing metal erupted, signaling the beginning of a battle. She licked her lips, wanting to be part of the big fight as well.

"Archers! Get ready!"

Emily's eyes widened when a row of Helian archers appeared on the fighting ship hovering high above the rest, while the Hemelian and Helian soldiers continued to struggle a ship below. Hoseok's statement was proven to be right because there was no countdown. In a split second, a line of purple arrows were in the sky.
