Both Sissy and I jumped at the sound.

We both looked for the source of the sound, and found that a side door was thrown open with someone standing in the doorway.

It was Austin.

I was momentarily confused, and then I snapped out of it.

Sissy was still looking at Austin, not knowing what to do.

I used that to my advantage and I kicked the gun our of Sissy's hand.

The gun went off and Sissy yelped in surprise.

I tackled Sissy and punched her in the face, hard.

Her eyes rolled to the back her head then went back to normal.

He raised her arm to hit me, but I punched her again.

It was kind of hard to punch since my hands were bound, but that just meant I had double the force when punching Sissy.

I ended up letting all my anger out on her.

I punched for more than a couple times, before someone grabbed me from behind.

I yelled out, but Austin's voice rang out.

"Riley, it's me!" He yelled.

He pulled me off Sissy, who was passed out with a bloody nose.

Austin turned me around in his arms and looked me in the eyes.

"Its me, I'm here, you're safe," He said breathlessly.

I through my bounded hands over his head and hugged him tightly.

Tears filled my eyes and a couple slid down my cheeks.

"Shhh," He whispered in my ear. "I told you that I wouldn't let anyone hurt you again."

A sob broke out of my lips.

We stayed in a tight hug for I don't know how long, but the door banging open once again pulled us apart.

It was Miles and a group of detectives.

They had their guns up and ready to shoot.

Miles stopped when he reached us.

He looked at me then down to where Sissy was just now waking up.

A grin played with his lips as he lowered his gun.

Two other detectives pulled Sissy up and cuffed her.

They led her out of the building.

I looked at Miles then at Austin.

"How were you both talking to me if you two weren't with each other?" I asked.

"We were listening on a live stream from a phone at the office," Miles said.

I nodded and noticed a sirens growing louder and louder.

"Riley, your bleeding!" Austin said grabbing my right arm gently.

I winced in pain and looked at my arm.

Blood was staining through my plaid button-up, but I could see a hole in the sleeve.

"When the gun went off, the bullet must have hit my arm," I said.

"How didn't you feel it?" Austin asked.

"Adrenaline does some amazing things," I said smiling weakly.

Miles chuckled and led Austin and I outside.

Outside there were three dark SUV's and two ambulances.

Sissy was getting loaded into one of them, two detectives hopped in and sat next to her in the ambulance.

Miles led me to the other one, and a paramedic sat me down.

He grabbed a pair of scissors and cut the plastic tie off my hands.

I rubbed my sore wrists.

He took a quick look at my arm.

"This is going to need a few stitches," He told me.

"Can you do it here?" I asked.

I really just wanted to go home.

He nodded and sadly he cut the sleeve off my button-up.

"So how did you know where to find me before Miles?" I asked Austin.

He stood in front of me, watching the paramedic clean up my arm, Miles stood next to him.

"Yeah, how did you know before me?" He questioned.

I laughed and Austin grinned.

"When she was telling us her surroundings, I knew where she was talking about; I just could put my finger on it. Then when she told me that Sissy was behind this, it clicked and I kind of just ran off," He explained.

"No kidding," Miles said. "I turned around for one second and when I turned back around you were gone."

Austin scratched the back of his neck.

That was his sign of being shy or nervous.

I laughed.

"The bullets still in the wound, I need to get it out," The paramedic told me.

I looked at him and nodded.

Austin came over and held my other hand.

"I'm going to go over there," Miles said pointing over to the other ambulance.

I was surprised he wasn't gone yet.

The driver probably needed Miles's permission first.

I nodded and he walked off.

The paramedic put something wet and cold around the bullet hole in my arm.

It stung slightly.

Then he gave me a shot that slowly started numbing my arm.

A minute later he looked at me and I nodded.

I looked away as he dug into the wound and pulled the bullet out.

It didn't hurt, my arm was too numb, but I didn't like the feeling of it.

I squeezed Austin's hand slightly.

He got the bullet out and he cleaned the hole again.

After that he started stitching me up.

When he was finally done, he put a piece of gauze over the stitches then wrapped some bandage over it.

"You can the bandage off when you need a shower, but make sure you wrap it back up," The paramedic told me.

I nodded and got down off the ambulance.

I saw my dad's car coming up fast.

It screeched to a stop and Mom, Dad, and Alex jumped out.

I ran towards them and literally jumped into a group hug.

My tears were shed, mainly from Mom though.

Super short, but yeah...
