"We can't keep doing this." You said.
"What are you saying Mia?" Thomas asked.
"The sleepless nights the drag out fights. The dreams I have and you just don't care." You said.
"Every marriage has a rough patch." He said.
"Not every marriage makes it through them." You said,
"This is goodbye isn't it?" He asked.
"Yes." You said.
"I love you Mia." He said.
"I love you Thomas." You said picking up your bags.
That conversation was had a year ago. You were now filing for divorce. You sat at the table with your lawyers discussing pointless things. You didn't want anything from Thomas.
"Ms. Martinez are you with us?" Your lawyer asked.
"Yes." You said.
"Okay, If you would sign right here you will be divorced." He said.
You signed the papers and walked out. You had nothing more to discuss. You knew you would be fine by yourself. You just wished you could go back and change things but knowing you couldn't would help you in the long run.
