Chapter 7 ♔

"Heyy! Don't tease me!"

He laughed again, "I'm just kidding, dear. Anyway, I'm really glad I met you. I had my doubts at first, when my parents suddenly told me I'm getting married....but after Jihoon told me all these great things about you, I was confident that you were the one for me," He smiled.

"Really? Same here, I agreed to marry you because of all the nice things Jihoon said."

"We should really thank him then. He's like a wingman that brought us together," We laughed.

Hours passed as we talked. I didn't even notice the time go by. Our families still haven't returned but I wasn't worried anymore. I'm feeling more comfortable with Daniel now.

Daniel glanced at the clock, "They still aren't back huh? They sure love taking their sweet time."

"I know right," I laughed.

"Hey Y/N, maybe you could show me around the mansion. This place is huge." he said while looking around.

"Sure! I'll give you a tour!" I offered and stood up. He followed me as I showed him the main floor. Then we went upstairs and I showed him the rooms. His eyes lit up as he saw the game room.

"Woah, you guys even have a game room?! That's freaking amazing! Even I don't have this back in LA," he went inside and started playing some of the video games. Wow, he's just like Seonho and Jihoon....obsessed with video games!

I laughed, "Yeah, I guess it's pretty cool. But Seonho's the only one who really uses it. The rest of us have no interest in playing."

"Aww that's too bad! What do you do on your free time then? Since you're homeschooled and don't go out much?" He asked.

"I mainly spend time in my room, usually just reading books," I replied as I showed him my room.

"Really? What kind of books do you read? I don't see any books in your room..." He commented as he looked around my room.

"Well....you see, the books I read are online...on Wattpad.." I whispered the last part. Hope he doesn't judge me...

"Wattpad? What's that?" He asked.

"Uhh...it's nothing! Don't worry about it!" I gave a nervous laugh. It's better if he doesn't know. I wouldn't him seeing the things on my reading list XD

"Uh okay? Anyways, I'm really digging your room! It looks really clean and well-kept, unlike mine back in LA," He laughed.

"Thanks! Though it only stays clean because of mother. She always makes me keep my room spotless," I replied.

"Same, my mother's also strict but the difference is, I don't listen haha. Since I'm 21, I make my own decisions. In fact, the final decision of marrying you was made by me, not my parents. And now that I've seen you, I'm not changing my mind," He smiled and stroked my hand.

My face got red and I looked away. I was at lost of words....everything about him is so charming. Jihoon was right about Daniel. He's the right guy for me.

Something caught Daniel's attention as he walked to the other side of the room. He picked up the velvet box and smiled, "I see you received my gift. Do you like it?" he asked.

"Of course, I love it! It's really beautiful Daniel. But you didn't have to go through the trouble....it looks really expensive."

He laughed, "Money doesn't mean anything to me sweetheart. As long as you're happy, I can buy you anything."

Wow....spoken like a true rich person lol.

"Anyway, have you tried it on yet? You probably haven't right?" He asked as he carefully took the necklace out.

"Actually, I have. Jihoon helped me put it on, just to make sure it fits," I smiled.

His expression changed, "Oh....I see. Well, let me put it on you this time," He smiled and gently placed it around my neck. His touch was just as soft as Jihoon's. It made my heart race.

He turned me around and smiled in satisfaction. "Wow, it looks amazing on you. Welcome to the Kang family, princess," He placed his hands on my shoulders and started leaning in.

I froze on the spot. Wait....what is he going to do? Oh wait....I think I know.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, anticipating what's to come next.

Suddenly, the door barged open and Seonho came running inside. We broke apart and separated as he saw us.

"Noona?! Hyung?! What the hell are you guys doing, huh?!!!" he screamed and started freaking out.

"Yah! Dongsaeng! I told you not to disturb them!" Jihoon came in the room and scolded Seonho.

What the hell....when did they even get here? Were they stalking us?!

"Yes noona, we were stalking you," Seonho read my mind. "Actually, we never left the house. Jihoon hyung and I were worried about you two being alone together so we hid in the closet the whole time and watched you hahaha," He laughed.

"Hey! You weren't supposed to tell them that! That was our secret!" Jihoon hit Seonho playfully.

"Oops! You should've told me before hyung. It's too late now!" Seonho laughed as he ran around the room with Jihoon chasing him. 

Everyone, including Daniel started laughing. 

Wow, these dorks always make my day.
