Chapter 7 ♔

After getting dressed, I made my way back downstairs to greet the Kangs once again and apologize for running away. 

But once I got to the living room, I noticed everyone was gone. My family, the Kangs, and all the workers/maids were nowhere to be seen. 

That's freaking weird. Where did everyone go? 

Are they that mad at me for ditching them? 

Did they leave to get revenge on me? 

Nah, they wouldn't go that far..

"Boo," I gasp as someone whispers in my ear. I turn around to see the one and only Kang Daniel. 

He looked at me and smirked, "Sorry babe, didn't mean to scare you."

My eyes widened upon hearing that. What did he just call me?

He smirked again seeing my expression, "What's the matter, you don't like being called that? Maybe you'd prefer something more endearing, like Jagiya or Yeobo?" He suggested.

"W-What! I never said that!" I blushed. How am I supposed to have a normal conversation with him if he keeps teasing me like this?

"Haha, don't worry dear. I'm just playing. Anyways, I see you've changed. It looks really good on you," He said, checking out my outfit.

I blushed again, feeling a bit self-conscious. "Oh uh...thanks. Anyways, where's everyone else? How come we're the only ones here?" I asked.

He smiled, "Oh right. Everyone went out for a drive around Seoul. They said they wanted us to have some alone time and get to know each other. You know, since we're getting married and all." 

What?! Nooo, how could they do this to me? 

Mom, dad, Seonho, Jihoon....how could they just leave me alone with Daniel?! 

Daniel noticed me fidgeting and placed a hand on my shoulder, "Relax. I'm not gonna do anything to you. Let's just chill and get to know each other before everyone comes back," he smiled.

I nodded and we sat down on the couch. "So tell me some thing about yourself," he asked.

"Something about myself.....well...I'm 19 years old, homeschooled, and never been outside of Korea before," I answered.

His eyes widened, "Woah, seriously? That's crazy! So you haven't seen much of the outside world, have you?"

"Not really. My world has just been me living inside this mansion. Plus, I have no friends so I haven't had any reason to go outside," I explained. Usually I'd be really insecure telling people this but for some reason, I feel comfortable talking about it with Daniel. He doesn't seem judgemental and is accepting of my differences. I feel like I can trust him. 

"You know what? I'm glad the two of us are getting married. Now you have an excuse to come to America with me and see the outside world." He smiled.

"Actually, I was thinking the same thing. I'm kinda excited to leave Korea and see a foreign country for the first time. I've watched movies before but I bet the real-life experience is way better. You'd be willing to show me around right?"

"Of course! I'd be more than happy to. You're gonna be my wife after all. And for our honeymoon, maybe we can go to Europe or something."

I blushed at the mention of 'honeymoon'. Knowing what kinds of things happen during that time...My heart can't take it! 

"Hello? Earth to Y/N," Daniel waved his hand in front of my face. I snapped out of it, "Huh, what?"

He laughed, "Aww, you were getting flustered. How cute."
