Chapter 5

I wake up hooked up to tubes and a needle in my arm.

"Hey kiddo.."

I blink slowly and see Danny with bags under his eyes by my side.

"Danny..I'm so sorry.."

I say holding my head.

"Will talk about it later..but how are you feeling..?"

"I've been better.." I say chuckling.

He chuckles and then says,

"I'm gonna go tell the nurse your awake."

"Alright."

I say watching him disappear into the hallway.

The door opens slightly and I look up.

"Oh my god.."

I say covering my face.

"What?"

Dallas says walking in with a bouquet of flowers.

"Girls like this kind of stuff right.."

He walks over and sets the flowers on the side table.

"How'd you know where I was?"

I say cocking an eyebrow.

"You friend. Linda.."

"Leanne."

"Yeah whatever..she told me you guys got into it with some "Greaser" girls last night and that you ended up in here."

He says sitting down next to me.

"Wow she makes me seem pathetic.."

I say chuckling in a angry way.

"Nah. I know you put up a good fight."

He says smirking at me.

Danny walks in and him and the nurse were in the middle of a conversation but he goes silent when he sees Dallas.

"Uh..this is.."

Dallas stands up and introduces himself.

"Dallas Winston."

He says giving his smirk he always does.

Danny shakes his hand and just says,

"Danny Wronkie."

I tense up a bit, but then the nurse breaks the awkward silence.

"So Rey how ya feelin?"

She says taking my blood pressure.

"Alright..my head kinda hurts but beside that I feel fine."

I say hoping she'd say I was gonna be able to leave soon.

"Alright. Well your blood pressures fine, and nothing's hurting. Beside your head but looks like you'll be able to leave by tomorrow."

She says smiling and writes down some stuff on her clipboard.

"I'll be right back with some meds for your head."

She's says and leaves the room.

"So you guys are dating?"

Danny says looking at me and then Dallas.

I don't answer because I didn't really know what to say.

"Were takin it easy.."

Dallas says leaning back in his chair and winks at me.

I blush a little and ask Danny if he could go get me some water.

"Yeah.."

Danny says standing up and leaves the room.

I look back at Dallas and raise my eyebrows,

"So what do you think? Am I doin good?"

I laugh and say,

"He's a bit confused but I think he likes you."

I grin at Dallas and he smirks at me.

"Well good."

He stands up and walks towards me.

"How about when you get out of here will go to the drive in.."

I smile at the ground and then look up at him.

"Alright." He smirks at me and then heads out the door.

"I'm so glad your okay.."

Jenny says hugging me.

"Me too." Susan says hugging me.

Leanne stands there just watching us and then hugs me tightly.

"We were so worried." She says while her voice shakes.

"So are you gonna go to the Winter Dance?"

Susan asks.

"When is it?"

I say hoping it wasn't to soon, because the doctor said I had to stay home atleast for 3 days.

"Next Friday."

"Yeah I should be there."

"Who are you bringing!?"

Susan says sitting on the hospital bed next to me.

"I don't know yet.." I say looking down.

"Your gonna bring Dallas aren't you.?"

Leanne says leaning against the wall.

"Who's Dallas?" Susan says looking back at me and then cocks an eyebrow.

"Rey..?"

"He's her boyfriend."

Jenny says teasingly, "No he's not!" I say pushing Jenny lightly. She giggles and Susan waits for me to answer, "He's just a guy.." I say starting to blush. "Rey Wronkie! He is not just a guy if he makes you blush and visits you in the hospital and brings you damn flowers!" Susan says pointing to the roses next to my bed. "Alright.alright, we've already went out with each other..only like once..twice." "Rey!" Susan says giggling. "What?" I say chuckling. "Well you should ask him." Jenny says smiling at me. "Yes! Ask him!" Susan says, "Ok! ok. I'll see.." I say blushing even more, and they all laugh.
