"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." -John 3:16-17You might be thinking, 'yeah yeah John 3:16. I've had that memorized since I was three years old!'
Well so have I, but I was reading over these verses yesterday, and as always with scripture, something NEW popped out at me. A single word stood out that never had before...
World.
See, the world is a sinful place, creds to Adam and Eve. Often throughout the Bible, the term "world" is associated with darkness and sin.
So, if God could love the SINFUL world so much that He would send His ONLY SON to be a sacrifice for the chance of our salvation, just imagine how much greater He loves those who love HIM! Imagine how much more He would do for us if we love Him back!!Guys, this blew me away. Our God is such a loving God! Oh how He loves us.
I am single, but I have got the perfect reach to all of the love I will ever need in our Lord Jesus Christ because He came down to this world filled with sin not to condemn us. No. To save us.
What a love story.
