Dangerous Love

Running Away: Part 2

It's been 3 weeks, since, my Nana, Papa and I had to leave Colombia because Leah snitched. Victor and my mom were mad at Leah for telling the police where I was, my dad found out that I was with my grandparents this whole time. He was pissed off at my mom and Victor. I was on my bed laying down, thinking and texting David. He always knew how to make me smile. We were mostly talking about Valentine's Day, and how much we wished to be together and see each other. Valentines Day is in 2 weeks, all I could think of was being with David, eating dinner or watching a movie.

I got up from bed and went to eat breakfast, after that I took a shower and got dressed to go to the mall with my Nana. My nana liked to go out, especially with her grandkids. After the mall, we went to one of my Nana's friends house to pick up a passport and a fake identity for me. I was going to leave in 3 days to London, I was going to stay with my uncle, my mom's brother.

Three days went by, I was grabbing my jacket and my backpack while my Papa put my suitcase in the car. My papa came in my room and said, "Amour, are you ready?". "Yes, Papa", I said. We were walking towards the car, when we suddenly see police walking towards my grandparents house. My Papa texted my Nana to get out of the house. My Papa and I ran to the car and got in, my Nana luckily got out of the house without the police noticing and got in the car with us. My Papa turned the car on and started driving, the police noticed it was us. So they got in their cars and started following us. My Papa was driving as fast as he could to leave me in the airport. We finally arrived, I got my suitcase and started running to the airport. My Papa and Nana kept driving, but the police wasn't following them, but they were following me.

I got through security, my plane was leaving soon, I kept running, until I bumped into someone and looked up. "Dad?", I said. "Hello Ava", my dad replied while looking me in the eyes. My dad grabbed me and took me with him, the only thing I could think of was that I was going to jail. My dad didn't say a word to me, then my dad made me sit down. We were by an exit, we were waiting for a car to pick us up. My dad turned around, he was talking on the phone. The other police officers were distracted. Suddenly, I got a text from my Nana, saying "Mija, I left the car by the airport, the keys are inside. Here's an address, when you get close to the address, abandon the car and run for your life until you find this house. They'll never find you there, good luck. We love you very much. Love, Nana".

I checked if my dad or any of the police officers were looking. They weren't, so I got my chance and started running. My dad or the officers didn't notice that I was gone, until 10 seconds later. I found the car, I got in and locked it. I started driving, while I was putting the GPS. My dad and the officers were chasing me, I was driving as fast as I could. When I was 10 minutes away from the address, I abandoned the car and started running. I only had my phone and my backpack with money in it. I was looking on my phone while I was running because I was following the GPS. Until, I lost signal and I was in a desserted territory, but I kept running. Until, an officer stopped me, I got surrounded.

"You need stop running away, Ava!", my dad said with an angry look. "I didn't do it! I didn't kill her! I found her dead, I didn't know what to do, I was scared and confused! So, I buried her!", I said while crying. "You're lying! My daughter knows better than that! She's smarter than that! What a disappointment you are!", he said angry.

Officers started walking towards me to get me handcuffed. "No, no. Stop!", I said while closing my eyes. Then, I heard a silence, I opened my eyes and saw them floating in the air, they looked scared and confused. "I'm sorry, dad, but I didn't do it", I said. I started running, then the next thing I notice, was that they were on the floor. I kept running, until I got signal again. Thirty minutes later, I found a small house. I found the key in one of the plants that was in the porch. I went in the house, and locked the door. I sighed, and started walking backwards, when I felt someone's hand on my waist. I yelled and jumped while turning around, "Shhh, it's me Ava!", I look up, it was David. "David!", I said while hugging him. "What are you doing here?", I asked. "I was coming to surprise you, but then your grandparents told me what happened and they told me about this small house that no one in your family knows about. So, they told me to come and wait for you!", he said. "I'm so happy to see you!", I said while giving him a kiss. "Me too, Ava", he said.

I went to take a shower, while David was cooking. I got out of the shower and got dressed, and went to the kitchen and ate dinner with David. We were talking the whole time. Then, we went to the living room and watched a movie. After the movie, we went to bed to sleep, we were both tired. I was so happy to see him, and finally I felt safe in his arms.
