Not wasting anymore time, I quickly got ready and went downstairs to eat breakfast. The house was empty, and Seonho was nowhere to be seen. I guess everyone must be busy.
After eating, I went outside and greeted the driver who was waiting for me.
"Hello, miss Y/N. Where can I take you today?" He asked.
"Hello Sewoon-sshi. Please take me to my father's office," I replied. He nodded and drove off.
Jeong Sewoon is our family driver, who has worked for us as long as I've known. Although he's only our driver, I see him as part of the family.
After 20 minutes, we arrived at my father's office. It was a huge building, located at the headquarters of LG.
"I'll wait for you here," Sewoon-sshi said as he parked the car.
"Alright, I'll be back soon," I said, stepping out of the car and walking inside the building.
Many employees greeted me as I walked in. I greeted them back and walked towards my father's office. I knocked the door.
"Come in," I heard his voice.
I opened the door and sat in front of his desk. His secretary offered me some tea and cake, and I kindly accepted. Who wouldn't decline free food, right?

"So...what did you want to talk to me about, father?" I asked nervously.
He cleared his throat, "I don't have any time to waste so I'll get straight to the point. I managed to get in contact with the Kang family and spoke with them about you. They agreed to the idea of getting their son married with you. They're coming to Korea next week to meet you and decide on the marriage date."
I gasped in shock, "Wait...they already agreed to me marrying their son?!"
"Yes they did. Why, you have a problem?" He raised an eyebrow.
"No, not at all. I was just surprised."
"Good. The sooner you get married, the better. It's for the best interest of our company," He said.
"Be ready for next week. We're going to throw a welcome party for the Kang family. Daniel, himself will be there as well so try your best to get close to him and impress his family. You'll be getting married sooner than you know it," He said and left the room with his secretary following behind.
I looked down at my food and sighed. Although I was glad everything was turning out smoothly, I couldn't help but be anxious as I became even more aware of reality.
This is really happening. And it's happening fast. I'm really getting an arranged marriage.
I was so lost in thought, I didn't notice tears rolling down my cheeks and into my food. I quickly wiped my tears and trying to think positive thoughts. Suddenly, Jihoon's words came in my mind,
"Noona....you don't have to worry about being forced to marry someone you don't love. I can assure you that Daniel's a great guy. He's kind, funny, smart, talented. You'll fall in love with him as soon you see him. So don't worry at all, okay?"
With those words repeating in my mind, I felt all the stress fade away and felt myself becoming relieved once again.
Jihoon is right, I really shouldn't worry at all. It'll all work out in the end. I trust his words.

After finishing my food, I left the office and started walking towards the exit. Sewoon-sshi is still waiting for me. As I was heading out, I bumped into my father once again.
"Ah! Joesonghabnida (sorry) father," I bowed.
"It's fine, Y/N. Anyway, I forgot to give you something earlier. This is for you, " He said and handed me a small velvet box.
"For me? What is it?" I asked and opened the box to find a beautiful silver necklace inside. It had the letter "K" on it.

"This is a gift for you, personally sent by Kang Daniel himself. He said he was excited to meet you and sent this 17-carat diamond necklace as a pre-engagement gift. 'K' stands for Kang, by the way. You'll be joining their family soon anyway, so you might as well wear it. It will create a good impression for both our companies. Anyway, I'll be leaving now," He walked away.
I carefully placed the necklace back inside the box and walked out of the building. To be honest, I was quite pleased with Daniel already. He took the trouble to send me gifts without even knowing me. It showed how much he cared. I would be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to meeting him.
As I reached the car, Sewoon-sshi held open the door for me. I thanked him and settled inside.
"That took quite a while. Everything alright, Y/N-sshi?" He politely asked.
"Yes, everything is fine. No need to worry," I smiled at him.
"Alright then. I'll drop you back home," He drove off once again.
During the ride home, my heart was beating quickly against my chest. I was still a bit nervous and scared. But more than anything, I was curious and excited.
