Chapter 35 - Bed

Something is wrong with me.

I shouldn't be excited to go to class. And I should be annoyed when Eris is poking me with his pen. But why the hell am I not? Instead I'm actually looking forward to school and I'm glad for the reason that I could poke him back and see his annoying smile.

I know these symptoms. Hindi na bago sa akin ang ganitong pakiramdam but really, toward Eris? Now, that is weird.

"Morning." He said when he saw me outside the room earlier.

I just looked at him weirdly. He chuckled and took a step towards me. "Woke up in the wrong side of bed?"

"Nakita kasi kita kaya nasira araw ko." Sabi ko.

"You should try sleeping in my bed sometimes. Masarap matulog sa kama ko." He said and grinned. "Oh! But you already did."

"Yes and I remembered pushing you out of it also."

"How about try pulling me instead of pushing hmm?" He cocked his head to the side.

I caught myself staring. Here he is, invading my personal space, cocking his head and grinning. Wala na akong masabi dahil gwapo talaga siya. At weakness ko ang kagwapuhan niya.

Wait, when did his handsome face become my weakness?

I winced. Feeling conscious all of a sudden and put some distance between us. "Just shut up, Eris."

Tumawa siya pero hindi na siya lumapit. "Yan talaga namiss ko sayo, Mor. Maganda ka pag nakangiti pero mas maganda ka pag masungit."

I inhaled deeply and ignored him. Kailan pa ako naging maganda sa paningin niya? So he admit na maganda nga ako.

He didn't tease me after that. Until he got bored in the middle of our 3 hour class. Again, I felt his pen in my arm and I tried to hide my smile and poke him back.

He poked me back and I poked him again and again. The remaining time became pen poking war between us and I didn't regret not listening to the lecture.

Hindi pa siya nakuntento doon at inusog pa niya ang upuan palapit sa akin. I watched him as he slid his chair quietly beside me. In return he just looked at me innocently and continued drawing stick figures in his pad.

"Pwede ba, Eris!"

"Anong ginawa ko sayo?"

"Ever heard of personal space?" I said and gestured for him to move instead he just stared like he did't get it. Pinandilatan ko rin siya ng mata.

I sighed and threw my hands up. "Fine you win. Now move."

I looked at our prof who didn't notice or just doesn't care whether his students are listening.

He did move. But not before leaning in and whispering, "Kanina pa tumitingin ex mo sayo. I don't know about you but I don't like it when Jack looks at you like that."

"Jake." I corrected.

He shrugged and went back to his seat. And surprisingly also hindi na siya nangulit hanggang sa natapos ang klase. Nagliligpit pa ako ng gamit at napansin kong inaantay ako ni Eris.

Sinabayan niya ako sa paglalakad palabas while trying not to laugh. Sinimangutan ko siya. "Anong nakakatawa?"

"Sigurado ka na bang ayaw mong matulog sa tabi ko?" He teased.

"Kadiri ka talaga!" I shoved him away but he pulled me with him.

Tawa siya ng tawa at ayaw niya akong bitawan so I pulled away using all of my strength. Then I bumped into someone. "Oh sorry."

Pagtingin ko ay nakita ko si Jake. And I suddenly feel awkward laughing with Eris.

"It's okay." He said hesitantly then looked at Eris and at me. "Saan ka pala pupunta? Uuwi ka na?"

My mistake was looking at Eris before answering. Because Eris was beside me before I could answer and draped his arm on my shoulder. "Kakain kami. Sama ka?"

Nagimbita siya pero 'yung boses naman niya 'yung mukhang naghahamon.

Inalis ko ang kamay niya at tinignan siya ng masama. "Anong kakain. Hindi noh."

"Okay. Edi uwi na tayo. Sa condo nalang tayo kumain. Your room?"

Nanlaki ang mata ko sa kanya. Hindi na ako sumagot dahil baka saan pa mapunta ang usapan. He might bring up the sleeping on his bed topic again.

"Actually uuwi na ako." Sagot ko sa tanong ni Jake.

He nodded and looked like he wanted to say something but in the end he just left.

"Hindi tayo kakain?" Nakasimangot si Eris.

I held up a hand. "Wait lang ah? Anong kakain tayo sinasabi mo."

Ngumisi naman siya. "Ayaw mo ng tayo? Eh anong gusto mo?"

"Gusto kong umuwi." I said and started walking. I paused and turned around to say, "And don't follow me."

He chuckled and caught up with me. "Who's following you?"

I glared at him but let him follow. At one point he even tried putting his arms around me and I had to be really alert so before he could rest his arm on my shoulder I dodged quickly.

We are still arguing until we get home. It's always never ending bicker when we're together.

"Akala mo naman gusto kitang hawakan? Tinatabi lang kita sa daan." He said.

"Eh bakit kailangan umaakbay? Pwede naman hilain o simpleng itabi lang."

"Seriously? Pati ba naman ito pagtatalunan natin?" Then he held up his hands. "Fine. I won't even touch you."

"Good! Simpleng manyak ka pa dyan."

He chuckled. "Kung gusto kitang manyakin ginawa ko na nung lasing ka. Instead I had to carry you to your room. And did you forget? Ikaw ang gustong pumasok sa kwarto ko at naghuhubad ka pa--"

Tinakpan ko agad ang bibig niya bago pa may makarinig sa kanya. Lalong lumakas ang tawa niya kahit na natakip ang bibig niya.

"Walang nakakatawa."

As usual I glared at him for being so annoying then he suddenly just stopped laughing. I slowly brought my hand down.

I was surprised when he cupped my face. He rubbed his thumb on my cheeks.

I was so stunned that I don't know how to react. I couldn't even masked my surprise when he did that.

"Uhm.. Eris.."

He was also surprised in what he did because his eyes widen for a moment before he pinched my cheeks so hard. "Anong itsura 'yan? Namumula ka pa!"

Hindi ko napigilan ang sarili ko at hinampas ko siya sa braso dahil ang sakit talaga. "Kasi kinurot mo! Nakakainis 'to!"

Tumawa lang siya at sinubukan nanaman akong alukin pumunta sa kwarto nila.

"Bakit mo ba gustong gusto papuntahin ako dyan sa inyo? Tapos lolokohin mo nanaman ako."

"Ayaw mo ng pagkain? Okay, ikaw bahala." He shrugged and turned.

"Wag na. Baka paglutuin mo nanaman ako. Hindi mo na ako mauuto ulit."

"Sigurado kang ayaw mo? Nagdala pa naman si Cole ng pagkain."

I grunted. "You are insufferable." I muttered and followed him inside.

"You do know that right?" I added.

"Yeah I know." He chuckled. "I also know that you like it when I'm like that."

I didn't answer.
